• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I've heard many horror OBE (Out of body experience) stories. I know i shouldn't believe everything on the internet. But i'm scared the possibility of going to hell. Afterlife is unknown it could be heaven and hell, reincarnation, nothingness, limbo, etc.

I'm an atheist so I don't believe in hell.

However, when I did believe in god, I always felt that he would understand and never be cruel enough as to send us to such a horrible place. No hate could come from a being with infinite love.

That's not a stupid question. Everyone should be able to ask anything they want. No fear should go unvalidated.

I grew up in a strict and religious home until the age of 10ish, when my parents divorced and my mother chose to leave the Kingdom Hall (we were Jehovah's Witnesses). Despite being "out of the hall", I had an intense fear of Jehovah (God) which not only stayed with me for many years, but also created this phobic certainty when I did die, I'd be punished severely (either in hell, or coming back to this earth again, to have to live again - ugh).

The fear was so strong, for years, it was what kept me from CTB. But....BUT...despite the fear of punishment once I died, I had this feeling in my heart: IF there is a God, IF God is forgiving and loving, and sees and hears our suffering, how could be punish us by a sentence in Hell.

You know?

We're human beings, living in an unforgiving world. Death is relief for all.

There is no hell or heaven.. there is certainly no god , especially the idea of god prevalent in world wide religions.
When a lion shreds gizzale it is not wrong or right.. that's nature , similarly when we humans fuck up with other humans out of greed , anger or whatever . That's again nature.
The morality, good, bad, hell, heaven cease to exist , when we cease to exist.
If you are not afraid of dying then you must not be afraid of what lies beyond death.
If there is any hell or heaven after dying I will ask that fucking bitch god to bring it on.
I am not a slave of any god and I refuse to be the slave of my body that is falling apart.
Sorry if I didn't make sense....at times I don't haha..

The Christian explanation is that we are all bad the moment we're born. Too bad we didn't get to pick, right? Why would a loving God create something faulty so he has to punish it?

If I breed an aggressive fighting dog and it hurts someone I'm to blame as I'm his creator..

If God was real he would fit right into the criteria of a malignant psychopath.

Hell is here - for many of us. So If you fear of christian type of afterlife - you were just released from hell and going to completely different place.
I read life after life book when I was a kid and I really dont remember any bad stories. In majority cases people experience light, warmth, paradise type place where we meet our deceased family members and friends...

http://www.thehypertexts.com/No Hell in the Bible.htm

There is no Hell in the bible. It was made up by the Catholic Church to control their followers.

If you believe in Christ and have accepted Christ in your heart...

"For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Rom. 8:38-39)

This doesn't preclude you from consequences from your act of committing suicide, but there is no 'eternal damnation.

I've been to Hell through astral projection but I do not believe suicide will get you there. Intention sets everything. The divine is forgiving of such suffering..

At the time when you were 10, did JW believe in hell? I've studied with them in the last few years and know a core belief is not in hell, nor of going to heaven after we die. Rather a nothingness like sleeping, until armagedon when earth will turn to a paradise earth with no pain nor suffering at all.

I myself don't believe that consciousness exists external to our material bodies. Thence, I do not believe in an afterlife. But I may very well be wrong. If ancient Hindu hermits, who were the natural philosophers in those days, are correct in their theory of Karma, then ending one's life counts as a foul deed. And that shall make you go to hell. I don't believe in it, but who knows? Still, if suicide victims go to hell, then at least you won't be there alone.

I personally believe you travel to a point in life that you desire to change/fix. Like a parallel universe where you have an upper hand.

Islam has a bleak viewpoint of suicide, in that not only is it eventually hell, but you relive your suicide every day for thousands of years

I've never quite understood religious people. When someone gets sick or something goes wrong it's not gods fault, but when someone is healed or something good happens it was gods doing??

I have no problem with religion, as each to their own. I simply don't understand it, because it makes little to no sense.

Nobody really knows, but all the available evidence suggests that there isn't actually a Hell and it's just a superstition made up by people during a time that they didn't know very much about the world and were trying to make sense of the mysteries around them.

Government and corporations too. A depressed slave high on expensive pills living in poverty generates more profits for the elite than a corpse.
I strongly believe the reasons why suicide is such a taboo are simply economical. Insurance makes it very clear how much a human is worth. Regular people? Nothing. Even high level managers are barely worth anything today. Since 1970 we have doubled. There are infinite copies of copies of copies..

Religion was just an easy way to accomplish this..

I stay around partly due to these fears as well, ah I just don't know I'm sorry, I suppose it could be anything, I'm spiritual leaning but agnostic, in that the more I learn of various viewpoints about ultimate reality the less I know, and this also includes varying accounts of NDEs and all the good stuff like the cream filling in the oreos sorry I'm a little high but I think that makes sense it's good >< You just have to trust youself I guess but I just don't think anyone really knows sorry, though I could be wrong *yawns and curls up before hugging you warmly*

Trust me I was born in Hindu family, studied Hinduism, it is nothing bulshit. Priests came up with these stories to scare the normal folks.
It may be less violent than others but it is the most absurd religion.
