Probably not. Likely others that have with how long its been around. But I been having a heart reaction to THC, whether smoked, vaped, or eaten, that feels like aching to quick second sharp pains in my heart. The ache will radiate to the left shoulder. Of course doctors say that I am too young for heart issues (29 years old) but I been smoking cannabis nearly daily for 7 years. If its an allergic reaction, I am not sure. I went to the ER once and they detected nothing in terms of blood work and symptoms, but then again, they do not have a panel for allergy testing cannabis due to federal regulations....good job in barring that information by the way, for any feds lurking in this site reading this.

Either way, will I stop? Probably not. I imagine if I do end up getting a heart attack, its unlikely to kill me instantly right? With how much of a cage our bodies are and how twisted the universe is, it will likely leave me alive but damaged.

So far been testing. Antihistamines offer little relief. Ibuprofen seems to offer the most relief. Tried some coffee to see if its a general affect. Agitated the heart a little but not much. Will try alcohol and see if that also agitates it. Mushies too.

For anyone asking "Why not go to the doctor or ER?" I did. Nothing is showing. And I cannot afford another ER visit anymore. So they will have to drag me there half dead and I AINT SIGNING SHIT if I am conscious. I better get use to not carrying my ID and can escape the damn hospital if it happens

Does this even count as a suicide if I am consuming a substance that I question is slowly killing me or not? Dont know.

I'm not trying to be one of those 'ITS THE STRAIN' people. But indica vs. sativa have a host of different terpenes between them and some are too stimulating esp to people with anxiety etc. Maybe have a look into this. Weed isn't going to kill you.

So I read this before as well and I tried different strains, different sources entirely. Same reaction so far. I also started to grow my own and will test reaction to this as well. Done a skin prick test and did not break into hives as far as I can tell.

Do you have any kind of cardiac history or dx'd anxiety related things? Smoking anything makes your BP jump initially, even if it's a downer strain.

Planning on this. Debating urgent care or specialist to get access to an ecg since ER is too expensive. Last time I was on ECG after a very bizarre reaction to a large dose edible, nothing was detected and blood work failed to show anything as well.

The bizarre reaction I had before, and never had with any other edible, was strange and I suspect it was either K2 or an opioid.

Had this wax that tasted....spicy. Best way I can describe it. Tossed it into an edible batch. Figured why not, i got it from a legal shop, it shouldnt be laced.

Well whatever it was, it did not go well. My entire body became extremely numb and it was difficult to move my legs and I kept getting the jitters with muscle spasm. At some point I could not feel my tongue, teeth, or throat and my breathing was getting labored. Had to gasp for air at some point cause it felt like my throat was closing. Went to the ER and no allergy or heart diseases were shown.

I also hallucinated. Vision kept warping and I saw shadows in the corner of my eyes

I totally agree—marijuana isn't going to kill you. When it comes to terpenes, those are basically just aromatic compounds, and different strains have different mixes of them. You can find almost all the same terpenes in both indica and sativa strains, just in varying amounts. Even though certain terpenes are more common in specific strains (like myrcene in indicas and limonene in sativas), there's a lot of overlap. Some sativas might pack in a good amount of myrcene or caryophyllene, which can change how they affect you. Plus, terpenes can play a big role in the "entourage effect," where they and cannabinoids team up to boost the overall benefits of cannabis.

For example, terpenes can influence how THC and CBD interact with cannabinoid receptors in your brain. Some can even change how well cannabinoids are absorbed or how they work in your body. Take caryophyllene, for instance; it can actually bind directly to CB2 receptors, which might enhance the anti-inflammatory effects. And then there's myrcene, which can ramp up THC's sedative effects, while limonene might help counteract any anxiety from THC.

Now, about how marijuana affects the heart—there isn't a ton of research out there, but it could impact your heart and cardiovascular system in different ways. Things like the strain you use, how much you take, and your overall health can all play a part. Typically, someone could experience an increase in heart rate (that's called tachycardia). It can also lower your blood pressure, especially when you stand up, which might make you feel dizzy or lightheaded—a thing called orthostatic hypotension. Plus, it can cause your blood vessels to widen, which can improve blood flow but may also contribute to that drop in blood pressure. The key words in all of this are can/could. But perhaps just the BP and heart rate changes are mimicking something more serious, not too certain. If you don't have any heart conditions, it's really unlikely that an increased heart rate or changes in blood pressure would put you at risk for a heart attack. Even if there's a risk, it's pretty minimal.

Last time I was on ECG after a very bizarre reaction to a large dose edible, nothing was detected and blood work failed to show anything as well.
Not too surprised your previous ER visit didn't show much. You said it did show no underlying heart disease so I am not seeing really any direct link into thinking the marijuana is the issue.
The bizarre reaction I had before, and never had with any other edible, was strange and I suspect it was either K2 or an opioid.
You also mentioned maybe suspicion it was laced with something else, that sounds far more likely than the weed itself causing this serious of an impact.

but then again, they do not have a panel for allergy testing cannabis due to federal regulations....good job in barring that information by the way, for any feds lurking in this site reading this.

As for allergy testing, yes they can do a skin, prick or a patch testing. It is not standardized, meaning no one test is the preferred or routine method, but all can (and are) done for figuring out if someone has an allergy to it. Not sure where you got that information, but it is not accurate. Go to an allergist if the ER said they didn't know how to or maybe you just made this assumption, not sure. Either way, it can be done if that's what you want!

Hope you find everything you are looking for and get peace & serenity!

Weed is not blanket statement universally safe to use. I get that it's "natural" and from a plant but there needs to be more research in terms of its effects, especially from heavy usage, and adolescent usage among others.

There are studies that show increased risk to heart disease from cannabis. Anyone can search "marijuana heart disease" in a browser to see plenty of results. There is also something called Cannabis Use Disorder.

There is the question of negative effects on usage by developing young minds, including links to psychosis.
There is now reasonable evidence from longitudinal studies that regular cannabis use predicts an increased risk of schizophrenia and of reporting psychotic symptoms.
