death: the cure for life

Even in my childhood, that time i learned about the 'dark' side of life, i truly started to question why on earth would someone want to live here, not to mention even wanting to have children?
Maybe some people never had to deal with any of these horrible things like cancer or mental illness etc but their plain existence truly makes me no longer want to spend even a single second in this world. Its sad, before i learned about such horrible things, i was fine, life even might had been good.. i was blissful in my childish, ignorant, and immature bubble..

Even aging overall to be honest. What lunatic have purposefully a child to introduce them to inevitable death of themselves and their parents and everyone they love and on top of that preceeding body horror of aging. That was the moment I realized people don't care that their children will die one day and suffer from old age or existential dread, they die before them so who cares right? That's why I never go soft on people who have kids and purposefully chose to be ignorant.

see this is just one reason among many that i don't believe in god, or at least a benevolent one. if god is real he's either a major asshole or he forgot we exist and stopped trying to fix shit.

People who have more "happy chemicals" blasting off in their brain and bodies just aren't affected as negatively by suffering and the dark side of life. It's that simple.

I've always thought this. If he was so loving and wonderful why let people suffer, good people who've done nothing to deserve it. Why let the world descend into turmoil and chaos. Why let rape, cancer, abuse, why let it all happen. If he's real, he's nothing but a fraud.

They probably believe the good things outweigh the bad things in their life. As for why they have kids, I truly don't understand why they have them. It keeps the cycle going, and I believe the cycle should be broken.

Maybe because they don't want to be ashamed by their friends and families for still being a virgin or single at the age of late 20s? Or could be their religion teaches them that masturbation is a sin against Almighty God?

Even if you weren't affected by them anymore?

The task is affirming yourself and life, which is easy when you are healthy, hard when you are ill.

My brother survived cancer he fought every second through it for his life and never gave up. he now loves life more than ever while i -a physically completely healthy man- pray every second for the sweet release of death. It is an ironic weird world really.

It's reasons that you pointed out _Minsk are to why I will never have children and why I also think bringing children into this life is a cruel curse to place upon them. This world is extremely screwed up and it's always going to be dark and twisted, all these people procreating just because being a parent sounds fun isn't going to change that.

Perhaps some people think life is a blessing despite facing hardships, and they think hardships are the only way to growth themselves.

Basically I'm agree with you, and it's also the main reason why I want to be childless if somehow I would get married.

Some people don't get out of that bubble, and stay ignorant forever. I don't have it that bad, really, but I feel like my experience with depression has permanently changed my views regarding life. Maybe some people think there's some universal quest to stay alive for, and so they think mankind needs to stay alive. But there's no point in the end. I think it's better to be safe than sorry, whether that means to CTB or to make humans die out.

We're taught that life is "a precious gift". It's "The Main Event". And we're sold on the idea that anything is possible, if we just try. Reality turns one either suicidal, or worse... breaks them down to just accepting a crappy life.

I know people who really do think life is a precious gift. Many people put up with the insane physical pain of chemotherapy or radiation to fight cancer and continue living.

I'm just not one of those people, and I'd guess most people on this forum, except for the trolls and sabateurs.

I think that for someone to wish to exist in this hellish world then they must be severely delusional. Life in itself is the true problem, it's truly a horrific thing having the ability to exist in this world that is filled with endless harm and risks, and the potential to be tortured so extremely. It's disgusting to me being trapped inside this decaying flesh prison as we are literally slaves to it until we cease existing, to me it's certainly always preferable to not exist no matter the circumstances, it's irrational to want to suffer just to be tormented by old age, anyone with awareness can recognise that life is nothing more than an unnecessary burden, it's a punishment being trapped here.

I don't think it's so black and white. Some people have purpose. Some people have moments of happiness as well as sadness and other emotions. Many people really want to live and think suicide is abhorrent.

People like you and me are different. But I think it's important to realize that not everyone is the same and not everyone's DNA, brain wiring, etc is the same. I think the folks on this forum don't have brain chemistry that works exactly like evolution intended.

Because we don't get a choice. It's either live in this world or die. I doubt anyone wants to live in a world with this much suffering, but it's not like you have a choice (besides suicide ofc).
