  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I even forget it exists, but i have seen videos of random folks C.T.B'ng with it, no idea why it's not talked about enough on here or why it does not have its own thread in the suicide resources section.

It's a variant of partial hanging.

yes, it's not easy to pull the doorknob one, and God knows what bad downsides are there in case you fail or do something slithly wrong, but the partial hanging method is not for everybody, what if you have no access to a dureable rope and a strong anchor point.

Doorknobs are a bit low for partial. Looping a cord over the door will work.

It seems too long and painful for me. You'd sit and strangle and flap around for 20 minutes at least. God knows what my brain would be doing to me in my unconscious state.

I've heard that unconsciousness happens within a few seconds if the ligature is placed around the correct artery but I could be wrong.

it seems vastly different than any normal 'everyday' C.T.B hanging method so i thought it might need its own thread/guide.
Purely out of curiosity, what's unique about doorknob hanging vs partial?
