So last night, I cut my thighs. If it's relevant, I cut fairly high on my thighs, about parallel to my genitals, and just on the front of my thighs. I cut a combination of deeper cat scratches and a few proper styros, but common for all the cuts is that the blood that ran down my legs afterwards was, albeit red; almost completely see-through. I also cut about a week ago, and my blood looked completely normal. Why is it all of a sudden translucent? Any thoughts?

this could be of a number of reasons, but its possible that you cut deep enough to where your blood began to be diluted with plasma which is 55% of what blood is. Ive had this happen before with deeper cuts that kept bleeding and eventually started to bleed a more translucent red. This shouldn't be of much concern, just be safe and im always here to talk if you need it, lots of love

Wait, so it can literally just mean that I cut deeper than usual? Yesterday that was actually my goal, funnily enough.

yes it completely depends though, when I was a consistent cutter my blood would be more translucent because I was bleeding a lot, whereas when I would stop cutting then start again my blood would be a deep red.

Interestingly enough I've always noticed it running a bit more translucent with more superficial cuts. Either way though like @iloveeetreeeess1 mentioned it's not much to be worries about. Pretty normal

Alright guys, I appreciate it. I won't worry about it too much then. Not like I could really explain to a doctor that I "noticed my blood was translucent" either anyways lol.
