Why am I incapable of doing simple things? Where do people find the energy to do all these things?
Doing this, going there. Man I just can't keep up with their pace. Anybody else?*

Maybe my brain chemistry is just flawed. I can't do anything. I just lack the will. How do these disabled people do it?

How is this supposed to be my fate? You know the older I get the more it seems we have little control of our lives. It's almost as if most things are already determined.

It takes a lot of energy for me to even take a shower. When I wasn't attending class, I would be a grease ball for like a week and then realize "Hey, smelly, you gotta shower!". Many of us probably suffer similarly with the barely able to do anything. I literally have reminders on my phone to brush my teeth because I just lay in bed all day.

It was a little bit better when I was in a relationship. Classes are slightly improving it but i have to actually think it through that I need to shower.

Truthfully, I wish I wasn't this way. I got my parents riding my ass how bad my room looks and it isn't presentable when we got company. I know it needs to get done but I just can't do it. There's no way I can get this energy of doing anything. I barely am able to do classwork for my courses I'm taking.

Same here. Little things like showers that are completely normal for healthy, working people, are very difficult for me to do. I try to shower at least twice a week. I'm just rotting away basically. I think we're depressed and that's the reason why we can't work properly anymore. I wish it was different.

Some people can function through anything. I highly doubt your brain chemistry is flawed. I sometimes think it might be a problem with self discipline, not having a vision for your life to motivate you. I struggle with this too. Motivation comes from a deeper place for some people. Not everyone is easily motivated, industrious, dutiful, etc. Some of us need much more to be motivated compared to other people. Certain personality types struggle with structure and having everything tightly planned out, we get easily bored and lose interest in things. We also live in a less free society now and so this limits your options, which can really be a motivation killer. If you can't easily fix problems and deal with obstacles relatively quickly and efficiently, it's frustrating. It can also be negative thinking that depletes your motivation. Not eating the right stuff, not exercising can also make you feel unmotivated and not at your best.
