Sometimes I think I didn't necessarily want to die ...
I just wanted to live in peace and alone without having to be intimidated because of my appearance, everything is aesthetic nowadays, and if you don't have that ... your character means nothing.

It is best to understand that the world revolves around fucking, and visual stuff is necesaary for fucking. Normal-looking people will never understand it, they don't know how words and judgments destroy psyche. If the look on your face is not normal you can't find a job, people avoid looking in the shop, don't want to look at an ugly person for too long, treat him/her aggressively, want him/her to leave as soon as possible.

I don't agree. My friends who were good looking in their 20s are good looking in their 50s. They may not be attractive to 20 year olds but they are to 50 years olds.

The way I see it, in modern world humans generally make a lot of superficial interactions with other people instead of sticking to a small group and develop deep relationships inside it. Looks would be more important if you deal with a lot of people you don't know or barely know. In small groups, the personality will show up more through repeated interactions.

Wasn't long ago when America instituted Leper colonies and exiled people with leprosy to die on an island. The same can be done for those who are unattractive. I wouldn't mind living on a tropical island, but then you get a bunch of unattractive people together to set a new baseline of attractiveness and the process repeats itself.

Yeah, our lives are governed by things beyond our control and it's almost as if one's fate is sealed in the womb. Whether you'll spend your teens partying, enjoying your life and being respected or being depressed, bullied and suicidal is all dependant on the shape of your head, your jawline, mandible, eye shape, eye colour and your mental health.
All of those things are beyond our control, I lost the genetic lottery completely. I was bullied like crazy, I'm ugly as sin and to top it all off, I'm mentally fucked which is why I messed up the only chance of me ever getting a relationship quite recently.

Humans are just like any other animal. Animals look for certain aspects of others to pass on their genetics. Health, strength, etc. Humans nowadays take appearance into that account as well, because more often than not appearance does reflect health. Sure there's some things you can't control like bone structure. But things like nasty teeth, greasy hair, unpleasant body odor, obesity. It all ties together. Now I'm not saying there aren't people who think that just good hygiene and health habits isn't good enough. But we all have expectations no matter how hard we try to deny it.

Looks are just hardwired in our brains to pick out the best mates. Simple as that.
