This is the 3rd time in the past ~3 weeks that someone ALMOST runs me over, and this time it was INSANELY CLOSE :D Why do I always ALMOST die? Couldn't they go 60 cm forward? That doesn't make a lot of sense because a lot of very cool people die in accidents and other things but I seem to be immune to dying in general. Is there an explaination or is this just some god messing with me?

It's just the odds; the law of probability. A near-miss is going to be 100x or 1000x more common than a hit. Of course the motorists aren't trying to hit you, but think of an invisible 360° target extending around your body, like a dart board. That area, which would constitute an "almost" hit if a car were to pass through it, is much larger than the area that would result in a direct hit, i.e. your body. So the chances of a near-hit are much greater than an actual collision.

The thing is, the last hit wasn't even a NEAR hit, the driver just stopped less than 50 cm away from me, like, INSANELY CLOSE
