Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

for every one who tested or attempted Partial hanging, why did not work?
or if it did work how was it?

edit: i will share my experience aswell
so i have been trying for the last 5-6 month my best position is standing, rope on the adam apple, knote behind the neck, slip knote.
the problem for me is i dont pass out, i get really dizzy, warm ears, not beeing able to breath and body spasms that i cant stop which is very scary. and i will get very confused like i am half conscious.

the only time it worked i hyperventilated befor partial and held my breath and passed out from hyperventilation, but the rope broke. and it was as peacfull as it can get, but it never worked again.

Well for me personally, the pressure when I put the noose around my neck is so overwhelming, it feels like my head is going to pop off. I have never overcomed my survival instinct.I actually feel very confident that the day I do, overcome it and let it all hang out I will succeed.

it's either youre not putting enough pressure or your on the wrong spot.

As far as how it felt: My setup was a rope anchored to a beam and I was on my knees (hee). I would lean forward to get tension. I tested leaning forward and if I felt the "head pressure" sensation, I would straighten up and readjust the rope. I kept doing this until I found the right spot and then I just relaxed into the rope and let my weight do the job.

I failed because I kept "jumping awake" like you do when you are about to fall asleep and you suddenly startled yourself. I am guessing it was the deepest parts of my SI kicking in as I was already unconscious when it happened. It happened a few attempts in a row and I got so pissed off I gave up for the day.

Yeah, I'm just checking out the information here to make sure that I get it right. Also, there are other options like SN,I'm looking into those as well.

I could still breathe. I do not know how long it took me to pass out, but if it could not have been longer than probably 30 seconds?
