Why are doctors and insurance companies so old-fashioned who always have to be right and can't even listen to the patient? Especially psychiatrists. I have been through so many psychotropic drugs and nothing has really helped me. Started with Quetiapin, Fluoxetine, Lithium, Elvanze and stopped with Lorazepam. And that although for years I have known that medical cannabis has good effects on me. Sure there is the risk of psychosis, but have you ever read the side effects of the above drugs? It doesn't seem to matter... Every now and then I pay for it out of my own pocket and make myself liable to prosecution, just because my doctor says "no, only people who are addicted / drug addicts or seriously ill with cancer take this". As if my illness wasn't that bad, instead of thinking that it might be worse than cancer, because with cancer there is at least a chance that it can be cured. My depressions are genetically predisposed and inherited, cure impossible. Sorry for the small rant but it upsets me that on the one hand I'm being bombarded with drugs that have only side effects and hardly any positive effect, while on the other hand I know at least something that helps me better than their garbage.
