This is what's so stupid about "suicide prevention" now days. It does very little to fix the problems that make people want to die, and just focuses on taking away methods. It is, however, a hazardous chemical. The EU covers it through the REACH regulation (https://echa.europa.eu/regulations/reach/understanding-reach). I am not a lawyer, but even if it's not straight illegal, it might come with some impediments and probably regular inspections.

Also, some countries have laws in place that penalize assisting in suicide. So selling someone something that they later use to ctb can at least cause some legal trouble.

I am not suggesting that he did an exit scam. I was saying that this is one possibility.

It's not "perfectly legal". Even though it is not a banned substance, it bears some substantial legal risks, especially regarding international trade.

IC and CCS wouldn't be the only sources if it were perfectly legal and trouble-free.

I'm hoping best case scenario is he just has to find a new host for his sites and he will he back up.

Technically speaking, the answers from DNS have been removed. If the hoster banned the site, I'd not expect this. The best we can hope is that K proactively seeks a safer space.

Hopefully he replies to someone and let's us know what's going on.

And yet, there are several things that you cannot buy in a hardware store because they're "controlled" in the same way as SN. Legislators are balancing here "legitimate use" vs. "potential harm".

Hypothermia is a peaceful way to die. (But if you are considering it, do some research first. You definitely don't want to attempt it, fail, and wake up with frostbite.)

Try the mountains in Tasmania in bad weather in winter. Even at temperatures slightly above freezing, you won't last long in bad weather.

I don't know if this would be a peaceful way to die. Once I have had severe frostbite on my hands and almost lost all my fingers. It was anything but pleasant and very painful and scary and the healing process took months to a year..

I wouldn't recommend it, I saw someone on twitter who attempted suicide by hypothermia impulsively and ended up as a triple amputee.

There is no pain. The only discomfort is the mild one we have all experienced when we start to get rather cold.
