I am a member of Coöperatie Laatste Wil (CLW). On Monday, October 10, 2022, at 9:30 a.m. a subpoena (lawsuit) will be issued against the State of the Netherlands. At stake is the question of whether the government may deny its citizens a human end of life under their own control.
According to the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR), as citizens we have the right to self-determination.
But the Dutch government makes this impossible. One of the ways this happens is that the government makes assisted suicide a criminal offence.
The CLW's following of members, donors or supporters has now grown to 45,000.
The aim of the Laatste Wil Proces is to ask the judge whether the Dutch State is acting unlawfully. If the judge rules in favor of the CLW, it is up to the politicians.
Who will win?
