Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

I live with my friend who is away on holiday and decided I want to ctb in a hotel so my body isn't sitting in the apartment for her to find when she comes back. I was planning on only sending a scheduled email to my boyfriend as a suicide note since he is the person I am closest to and I don't want to have to multiple scheduled emails to friends just in case one gets sent early or something. I wasn't planning on putting anything in my note about where I'm going to ctb because I don't want my boyfriend to feel responsible for travelling to the UK to deal with my body since we're doing long distance. I don't have any family though so in that case would the police just end up taking care of it if there is no next of kin for them to contact?

I don't care about having a funeral or anything like that I just want things to be as fast and simple as possible for my boyfriend. Is there any way I can try to make my death less of a burden for him? Do you think it's kinder to not put information about the hotel so he doesn't feel like he needs to track down my body and deal with it or should I anticipate that he would want to do that and try to make it easier by putting that information in my note?

I imagine the police would try to track someone down to inform them. They'll certainly want to be able to identify you I would have thought. Presumably they could do that via hotel booking information, your digital footprint etc. So- is the UK your native country? I guess- if they can't find a next of kin- no family at all- they'll maybe either get the money for (maybe a) cremation from your own funds, or- probably- the state will pay for it. It would be the police that would deal with the body though I would have thought. I expect most suspected suicides are autopsied. I don't see why they would ask your boyfriend to come here but I'm sure they would want to be able to inform him. Unless you were living together- I don't believe he would be considered your next of kin.

If it were me- I probably would provide all the information I could to both the police and your boyfriend- they're likely to try and find it out anyway. Wouldn't your flatmate tell the police about him? With regards to telling him the address of the hotel. It's up to you really. I imagine it will be the staff there that discover you- maybe you can prevent them being traumatised finding a body by leaving a note out to call the police. Still- even if your boyfriend travelled here- I imagine by that point, they would have moved the body.
