I have a love / hate relationship with hip hop. I loved a lot of the music that was made in the 1990s and early 2000s. But I hate the triplet / auto tune / mumble rap that's pervasive in the 2010s. I like hip hop that's an eclectic mix of jazz, rock, and rhythm and blues. And I like rap that hip hop fans may describe as intellectual.
