I've had only a couple of jobs and they all made me miserable. I don't possess any talents that would enable me to find a glamorous job.

But all jobs are stressful because life is stressful.

I have two degrees which are worth shit. I initially wanted to be a teacher. Haha what a fucking joke. I never realized how hellish teaching was until I set foot in a classroom.

Anyone else here hate working with a passion?

I hate working as well. I don't just hate job work, but also school work. Part of the reason I'm going to CTB is so I don't have to spend most of my waking hours doing things I hate.

Haha, teaching is my number one passion, career-wise. It's what I live for.

But there are definitely jobs I hated doing, mostly because they weren't teaching. They felt like chores and empty distractions.

Same pretty much, quit every job I ever started, was able to hold down a job on risperdal but felt horrible on it, stuffy nose all the time, still depressed, now I work from home and even that's a chore because I lack the self-discipline to get things done, getting mildly high helps me focus so probably have ADHD and shit too, what a mess but I think most of it is interpersonal things that consume me from my past and boredom, existential stuff, getting buzzed a bit with dph/dxm helps me focus, lameo I know xD

I hate it, to have some sort of comfortable living you have to spend 90k hours of your life working and the system you're born into is geared to get you into work asap and for as long as they can get away with. I'm not one of those that works for summet to do, I would rather waste my life away at home if I could afford it. If I knew this before I was born and had the choice I'd be like no thanks, life isn't for me .

I've got a good job but I'm tired of pretending to be someone else. Everyone is 'happy' at work. There are some good people at my job but there's an equal amount of toxic people just waiting to stab eachother in the back. So very tiresome. Acting all friendly to eachother, but talking trash the moment the other person is gone. I try to ignore it but it's difficult.

Are you still taking Risperdal? That's what I take for my bipolar depression.

No I didn't like how it made me feel, but then again I guess I was considered normal, not always brimming with mania, pressured speech, all of it as is evident just in my writing on this site x3 How much are you on? Do you find it helps you? I was on 2 mg, maybe that was too much, I was on it about three months but couldn't get motivated and my place was a pigsty. Then dropped it and took coffee back up and here I am again, apartment is spic and span, but can't focus. Gah xD

I am taking a whopping 6mg daily. So far it helps me stay neutral but doesn't work for my depression. It is the cheapest antipsychotic I can afford.

Nice, were you hallucinating before taking it or having a lot of positive symptoms of schizophrenia? I don't hallucinate but I tend to be distrustful, hypervigilant, very nervous etc., more on the bipolar spectrum. Very creative in my manic phases but given to histrionic vain displays et cetera xD

Yeah it was pretty cheap. How long do you sleep on that dose? Maybe you could try low dose dph/dxm for a buzz, I haven't properly drank before but though I would get some okay wine and try combining it with dph to see if its synergistic, then if all else fails I may get back on the antipsychotic, but I feel okay just have to try to focus and not overreact hahaha. Some memory issues though when using dph of course *shrugs* Earlier dementia is earlier don't need to work and support myself but chill in a rest home? But not a nice way to go at all lol. But yeah I don't know interactions of these various substances so I will do my research, still, I find tweaking biochemistry reasonably to be the best way to manage my issues, I'm too lazy to meditate it seems, though maybe that would help at some point but I doubt it *shrugs* Lots of self-professed enlightened people are rather common at times, not very enlightened at all to me. But I judge, and also, I digress lol.

My symptoms before I started taking Risperdal were feeling high, mania, anxiety, paranoia. I felt like I had broken out of the matrix lol.

My doctor thinks 6mg is good enough. I won't argue. Being manic and psychotic is a terrifying experience.

I actually liked it when I could. I always liked busting my ass at work and then just relaxing after a long hard day. Didn't get me anywhere though. My lazy coworkers and unethical bosses are probably still there while I sit home debilitated being called lazy while I yearn to get better and get back to a busy life. I feel like I'm screwed for life and if that's the case then I'm gonna give the world a big fuck you and say goodbye.

The #1 reason why I just don't want to be here anymore. Before I quit my shitty job supervising temp agency misfits back in November I worked very steadily. 40 - 80 hours a week 5 - 7 days a week A few times I was working 2 jobs 1 full time 40 - 60 hours a week and 1 part time 20 - 30 hours a week. I did that for 25 years and 7 days or 789,523,200 seconds until I finally crashed and now I'm here. : )

Honestly? I wish I had that much work. Idleness and free time's what landed me on this site.

I despise work. I always have. I've also always been very incompetent and prone to panicking when I make mistakes. I've read/watched a few things where they talk about this kind of thing.. people that just don't seem to have any work ethic. I really wish I did. The strangest part is that my grandfather who I grew up with was an extremely hard worker.

Had I known how much working for someone sucks I would have tried to find a very competent guy when young so I would only have to have kids and take care of the home etc. While he goes out to actually work. Men generally make more anyway bc of the types of jobs they do plus they don't have to fit in trying to have kids. That's sadly our actual job but feminism has brainwashed us into thinking we need bullshit careers to keep us from having as many kids or kids at all.

It's a combination of personality traits, and I don't think most people don't want to not work necessarily. It's just that not everybody can tolerate certain work environments or very long hours. It's just that the modern workplace is probably more regulated than it once was. There's so much micromanaging, god forbid u need a couple days off every month or even asking for specific day off is not feasible with many employers. The problem is that our government looks at everyone as being the same. The government assumes everybody has same IQ, and we have all the same abilities. Well sadly we don't and u can't just force everybody into the same type of education for example. People need equal opportunity and there's no such thing as equal outcome. Public school favors equality of outcome and this pulls down the more intelligent kids and focuses on pulling everybody down to the standards needed for the lowest iq kids. So this is just one issue with the current system.

It could be in part because you don't have the incentives to get u motivated enough as well. Back in the old days there was more opportunity, better pay, great paying work right out of high school. People could get married right away and support a family on one wage. People were also more free at that time, the state hadn't involved itself in the family yet. People didn't typically divorce, it was a much more moral time.

I bet if you had been properly assessed for actual abilities when young and steered towards the right things for u. This might be why many of us never self actualize these days. It's not about what is best for individual people, with varied needs. Unfortunately the playing field these days is not level or made more even if u start off with different abilities, advantages, or disadvantages, these are a serious hurdle or a huge advantage in the current system rather then mitigated and minimized. This is why there is more of a gap now between who succeeds or doesn't. For example a kid coming from a single mother home is significantly less likely to do well compared to a kid from a intact home with both of the two bio parents in the home under same roof. Yet the government gives rewards to women who get pregnant outside of a commitment or marriage.

I'm currently doing general transcription for a company called Rev, it's pretty easy to get on with once you take the test, which I believe you can find answers for, well, you could when I did it a little over a year ago. The pay isn't so good if you pace yourself, but it adds up and the cost of living in Kansas isn't too bad compared to a lot of places in the US so it's good for now. I should have mentioned the company, there's lots of transcription companies online now so hopefully automation won't replace them totally too soon.
