I'd be so lost. I'd probably try to nestle in some of the few remaining pro-choice subs on Reddit like r/suicidal_thoughts but they're either very quiet or have a really specific non-suicide topic

Same, I'd find my way back to Reddit to vent about the struggles that make me want to ctb, without actually talking about the ctb part.

I'd miss this place so much, and I'd worry about everyone who was here, hoping that we'd all find each other again somewhere.

Man, those times are rough. I've developed a bad habit of almost always having the site open in a tab - it feels slightly less excruciatingly lonesome, and when that is suddenly unavailable...eugh.

Good to see from some others here that there may be other options. I've heard there is also a Discord - is that a thing?

If SS shut down, I would be 100% lost and have no family. Everyone here is my glue, no matter if you like me or not, I LOVE everyone here whole heartedly, hands down.

Everyone everywhere is entitled to happiness and love and at least for me SS IS that and more. After 2 attempts, I finally found a place where not only am I understood but can let my hair down with no repercussions.

I think since it's hard to find on search engines, SS is already technically deep web. But dark net would be the next step but that would make it a lot harder to use

I don't care anymore if this site goes away. It doesn't mean anything to me. I just want to never wake again. If this site existed or not I would still be trapped in the same existence enduring endless days. I will always be suicidal no matter what as long as I exist.

Not A LOT — just a bit slower, you have it bookmarked and that's it.
I suppose they did not want to make it onion link because this site also has some hidden agenda, like data processing and the more people use it, the better. If it was such a hidden society, then there would be no twitter account for SS — if there is twitter, there is promotion.

Before I found this site, I was on r/promortalism (I'm still on there) and a pro-choice support group called ASH (Alternative Suicide Holiday). r/promortalism is great but suicide methods can't be discussed there due to Reddit policies. ASH allows discussing suicide methodology, but ever since the original forum got shut down, it's become kind of dead so there isn't much info anymore. I'm so glad I found this site because it's the best of both worlds. I don't know what I'd do if this site got taken away from me. That reminds me, I really should copy down more SN info from this site into my suicide research notes so that I have the info as a backup in case the site gets taken down. I don't want to repeat the same mistake where I wasn't proactive about getting N before D shut down.

I could find something like this on the dark web with a bit of digging if this site were to get shut down. The only caveats are that the site would be terribly slow and would have to look like it came right out of the '90s to be remotely functional. Beggars can't be choosers, though.

Sanctioned Suicide is the best website for people who want to write about death and suicide. If I write the same words somewhere else, I will be switched off. It is good to be able to communicate with others who are in the same situation, when it isn´t possible to talk to people about suicide. But writing about death will not make it happen. I must find the courage to die myself.

I don't know where I'd go. This is the only forum I can think of where you can talk openly about having suicidal urges without being pelted with platitudes. I'd like to know how I can go with the minimum of fuss if I get to that point.
