I'd like to find out out to go through with physician assisted suicide. I believe in Belgium it is legal and maybe Sweden someone told me. I believe I saw an article about suicide tourism that it costs 10k. Someone on Reddit told me sweden is only 5. I'm in the USA.

Let's say I had my money saved up, (I don't yet) but if I did and I wanted to go through with it, how would I start?

It's so hard to figure out who to call etc. Would I just start googling the numbers of Primary care physicians in Belgium and ask if they'd be willing to do euthanasia?

Should clarify also I want Euthanasia, not just swallowing a bunch of pills.

I've had some extreme health problems for quite awhile and ready to end it. I have a pew pew but I'm too afraid of messing up. Want to do things legally.

Idk much about the methods on here or all the abbreviations so haven't really looked into other options. I know some veterinary medicines you can drink etc but can't really see myself chocking a bunch of crap down and hoping I die.

I want to peacefully drift off to sleep and it seems legal PAS is the only way.

Thanks for any advice.

Look up assisted suicide documentaries and they gave their info. I watch a lot of them but I think 1 is To Die in Oregon. Hope that helps

There's no physician assisted suicide in Belgium. There's euthanasia because of a terminal illness and/or unbearable mental suffering (with in incurable disease).

Euthanasia for foreigners is only done in case of a terminal illness. In case of mental suffering, this is simply not done for foreigners. They don't want death tourists here and there's been some discussion concerning the cases with unbearable mental suffering, even for Belgians.

@Whiskey19 for mental illness as a foreigner I think your only hope is Pegasos in Switzerland. It's gonna cost 5 figures and you'll need to thoroughly document your treatment to show you've done everything you can to get better. If you're young they'll probably turn you down anyway. I wish you the best of luck.

Don't you have to be in at least in your 50s or something to be eligible?

I saw a news story about a 47yo British guy who snuck off and did it. His mom was upset. But yeah, that's not that young. No way they'd do it for like a 20yo. Belgium will for natives but alas...
