It will be hard to do online. CO is a considered a dangerous gas, and is actually explosive at higher concentrations in air, so getting it shipped will be trickier than getting an inert gas shipped.

Industrial gas suppliers in my locale sell it, but it's more expensive than an inert gas, and there are hoops to jump to through, so... eff it, inert gas it is. If I have to go through most of the steps for an insert gas exit anyway with CO, why bother? Less chance of poisoning someone with a bit of dispersed nitrogen than CO, too.

Thanks for these informations.

Is CO explosive even without fire ?

Is CTB in a car by opening a CO bottle feasible ?

Fire or heat over 600 degrees Celcuis is required to make CO explosive. Opening a decent sized canister of CO gas in an enclosed area, like a car, would work, but would also be dangerous to others, so... your call. If it we're me, I'd go outside and use a bag over my head to prevent danger to others.

Edit : I have found a seller of carbon monoxide bottle advised by the PPH :

Thank you for this site. I tried to see how easily one could purchase CO and its not easy, it's restricted and you have to call them. Also, would a 20 liter tank be sufficient and its price was £114, exclusive of shipping costs.

How much charcoal would do the same? I have four small disposable charcoal grills, would the suffice to get me to 10,000ppm?

I believe it's possible : the most important thing is to have a carbon monoxide detector to be sure you've 10 000 ppm, only at this rate, you enter the room or the car...

And one should remember to hold their breath when entering the car and closing the door. Someone here said she breathed and was knocked out with car door open and failed.

By the way I checked from Internet with duckduck go and carbon monoxide tanks are legal in many countries. People could buy them and say they are for welding or to someone else if seller asks about the use of it (meaning in friendly chatting since it's nobodys business). It is illegal where I live but legal in many countries, also in countries next to mine. I don't know what would happen if I brought it through border and got caught. I might try that if it weren't so easy to produce high amounts of CO with generator.

People in euthanasia organisation have used also for example gas mixture with 7% CO. 1% of CO would knock one out after 1-2 breaths and they would die in 1-2min. I think it means total unconsciousness then when they couldn't move the mask off from their face accidentally.

Is it legal in France ? If yes, when can we buy these bottles of carbon monoxide ?

I don't remember the company that sold CO. There are many companies selling gases. People have to search local distributors with their own language from the search engine (duckduckgo etc.) with words like gas, welding etc.

For example Paxair sells Nitrogen and Helium (should be pure He there). https://www.praxair.com/gases locations: https://www.praxair.com/international-locations
USA: https://www.gasandsupply.com/Locations.aspx
Paxair etc.

There are over 1000 gas suppliers in Europe also.

But I don't know whether they sell all gas sylinders in every country if you don't have company.
In Europe Swedish company with stores in other countries sells still pure Helium for balloons in toy sections and propane and other gases for grills etc. can be bought by anyone in every country. I bet they are lethal too. Though in Eu propane has been added bad smell so that people notice leaks witch is really not nice when grilling.
