Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Why do most assume, like a coin toss you could be right or wrong but still hold ontu an assumption even if it may be wrong. Why do humans love to assume? Not only that but they love to assume the most dramatic answer like a drama novel, they will think its the worst of the answers the most grande of answers, the most dramatic. The answer they feel will affect them the most they will just assume it is that if they cant get access to the correct answer right away. Is it because it is easier that way? possibly more safer for the selfish animal? So that they have a better chance at surviving whatever troubles they assume the worst? It ruins relationships, It ruins families, It ruins communication, Assumptions are a horrible curse humans do to each other, why did nature make us like this...

I think that it's related to ego as humans love to act like they know everything and acknowledging that there are things that they don't know would hurt their ego immensely. It's why things like religion had to be invented

we always look at that bad first its called being human. Therapy might help you rewire that to try and look at the good in 'anything' first.
Habbit formation is a powerfull tool. you can rewire those assumptions but it takes work..

As for the above comment re religion - eye roll ...

100% agree. I could make a list that would go on forever but here is a few:

1) Oh, you are 68? gee please do NOT speak, look, anything at or towards me, as you are TOO OLD to matter at all anymore.

2) You have mental health issues, oh then you MUST be "crazy"

3) You are NOT wealthy enough to be considered not only a friend BUT even human, yes, I have been told that before for real

4) You live in the U.S.A, so I not only dislike you, but I despise you, and yes again I have experienced this (they did NOT know anything about me at all)

5) You never had children so you MUST be self-centered, greedy and do not care about carrying on your "family name"

6) You do not believe in organized religion so you WILL go to hell (wonderful as I live in a VERY cold climate so maybe this one is ok)

I could go on and on, as YES, I am 68 and in all this time I have run in through the decades so much negativity, bias and just downright ignorance.

Sorry, maybe just bad luck, geographical location, peer group etc etc . so many variables I cant see or get from your post.

Almost all your examples although valid to you, & not invalid are also massive assumptions - not everyone thinks the way you perceive?

Also the external world is f'd ...factor that into your assumptions. ?
