When amitriptyline stops working, what sleep medicine is recommended

I've been taking amitriptyline and unfortunately the dosage keeps creeping up. What is recommended if amitriptyline stops working.

I here Phenergan is pretty good. They come in tablet form of 10mg or 25mg. They also do Phenergan Exlir syrup. I took only one 25mg and felt very tired as if I had drank some alcohol.

I take Phenergan every night. I started on the standard dose about 7 years ago, it doesn't really work anymore even if I take loads.
Tell the pharmacy its for hayfever or travel sickness

Quetiapine 25mg has worked better than benzos for me.

I did the zolpidem, and it worked well for awhile. Now I take temazapam and lorazepam as well as benedryl and melatonin. It doesn't usually knock me out, but I seem to be able to sleep once I get offline. :)

Has anybody had severe weight gain on Mirtazepine? My doctor just added it and having had weight loss surgery and have kept the weight off for 10 yrs. I am actually concerned that any of the dramatic weight gain I have read about will trigger a downward spiral.

I use 2 doses of zzzquil, 75mg Benadryl; Valium, Xanax, kloplon, and whatever random assortment of otc pills I have. Plus alcohol and other things. Works nicely

I put on 3 stone on mirtazapine. It does something to your metabolism, look it up. I didn't even eat much more than I had before, but it does make you crave sugar like your life depends on it. The weight came off easily enough when I stopped taking it but my appetite is all over the place now

Do you ever remember a time when benedryl worked for you? Those were the days...

I've heard some people recommend a supplement called "orthosleep", although it might only be available in some countries, eg Canada and USA.

When I was a kid I could take Just a Benadryl. Now I have to add it to my other 10 plus pills. I wish just Benadryl worked but I'm not that lucky

Thank you. I sincerely appreciate the response. I figured I would give it a try but set a hard limit on any weight gain. I sure do not need anything more that what led me to SS. Much love❤
