Honestly I view it as painful and unnecessary, don't get me wrong I have certain things that I'm definitely grateful for but I still view this all as unnecessary.

Yeah, definitely unnecessary. Nothing is better than something, there is no pain in nothing. No beauty too, but a nice sunset doesn't make up for cancer. A tasty meal doesn't make up for slavery and murder in the world.

Life is horrible an I wish I had died in utero. Some people have good lives but not everyone. Just when I think it can't get any worse … life never ceases to disappoint.

Exactly. Like my dad told me when I was still a kid, "I should have made your mother get an abortion with you. That way my life would have been better!" Hell, everyone's life I poisoned by getting close to them would have been better. Mine included because it would have been a life that never was.

I, for one, think that life can be a true blessing and an overall positive and enjoyful experience as long as you are born with the right genetics both physically and mentally.
It all comes down to that and to the environment you are raised in.
Sometimes i look at them rich kids from my university and i think how lucky they are: They were born on rich families (catholics for the most part, but hey, you can't have everything), they are intellectually superior than most people on our country which makes them elite students and in the future will have elite, high paid jobs, they have a good and healthy group of friends they enjoy being with and have fruitful and enjoyable relationships (from their perspective), and some of them, are very good looking. They all look very happy to me, as life is going according to their plans!
It's everything i would want for me, and i don't wish them nothing bad. They're not responsible for my failures and misfortunes.
So yeah, i think life can be a true gift should you have luck in how you turn up in this world.
If you are born with a defective mind or prone to have mental illnesses, if you are born with a physical defect or some sort of chronic condition or disease, or if you are born into an horrible and dysfunctional family you are better of dead, i'd say.
If i'd known in advance that by my 22nd birthday i would be joining a suicide website and planning to kill myself because of a series of failures and unfortunate life circumstances than i would definately wish i'd never been born, that's for sure.
Just my opinion, though.

That was a shitty thing to say... especially to a child. I'm so glad I've never reproduced. My offspring would have just as horrible life as me or worse.

Life to a point, is what you can make of it. Put the effort in and possibly get rewarded. But this doesn't always work, there's no inbuilt fairness in life, and some people have illnesses etc or were born into a bad environment which hinders them. Genetics plays a part too.

It sucks. And I hate that we don't have a choice in whether to live or not. snd the law.....so many restrictions on things we can and cannot do. We have a finite time on this earth, why so many restrictions?

My opinion on life in general is that it is unfair: so much tragedy for people who did nothing to deserve it while greedy, incompetent megalomaniacs rise to power (eg Trump...).

My opinion on my life is that it is unsalvageable. I have done far too much damage to my life to even begin to repair it. I am exhausted from trying. I am tired, very tired, of my life and I am ready for it to end.

That is a really good question. For me personally, life is part of a circle of life and death and suffering. When there is life, there is always suffering.

It's like the ultimate goal of Buddhism, which is Nirvana, the state of nothingness. No life, no death. Just an absolute state of nothingness.

I start to understand that more and more now.
