I think I may be choosing this as my method. Is death instant or do you feel pain for a split second when you hit the ground? Does it hurt while you're falling because of the speed you're falling at? I just want to know what to expect before I do it. It's well over high enough and will work for me. Has anyone passed out before they hit the ground because of the shock when they jump off the ledge?

Sadly anyone who was successful with this method is not around to share their experience.

death is most likely not instant a majority of the time and you will feel some pain. it really depends on how you land. i bet landing on your head/neck would work for this method the best

Kevin Hines may have answered some of these. He is a motivational speaker who jumped off the Golden Gate Bridge. I would look up video of him telling the story.

Also, just gonna leave this poem from Bojack Horseman:

The View From Halfway Down

The weak breeze whispers nothing
the water screams sublime.
His feet shift, teeter-totter
deep breaths, stand back, it's time.

Toes untouch the overpass
soon he's water-bound.
Eyes locked shut but peek to see
the view from halfway down.

A little wind, a summer sun
a river rich and regal.
A flood of fond endorphins
brings a calm that knows no equal.

You're flying now, you see things
much more clear than from the ground.
It's all okay, or it would be
were you not now halfway down.

Thrash to break from gravity
what now could slow the drop?
All I'd give for toes to touch
the safety back at top.

But this is it, the deed is done
silence drowns the sound.
Before I leaped I should've seen
the view from halfway down.

I really should've thought about
the view from halfway down.
I wish I could've known about
the view from halfway down—

It depends. As mentioned if you land on your feet even from a good distance the axial force is transmitted through the body and can result in extensive fractures to teh feet, tibia and fibula, pelvis as well as broken ribs. If this occurs there is a high chance of being found and taken to hospital where a long, painful "recovery" of months would occur under supervision.
As it's hard to twist or turn your body to land on your head which would ensure death.
Unless you can jump from a very big height where you will essentially explode on impact. However, the higher the height the longer you will have to be falling inwhat would be a mass of adrenaline so you would eb hyperaware of what was occurring even if you had taken a sedative like Valium or alcohol the CNS would flood you will so much adrenaline that it would cut through any "numbing" elements you could have taken.
