If you could go back in time, or even if you could just talk to them now, what would you say to the person who has hurt you the most?

I'm sorry that you had the childhood you did but I don't forgive you for treating me the same way. I wish you would've pursued your dreams and not met him, you know he isn't good for you. I don't know who I am because of you and I've lost hope in forming relationships with others, but I still want you to live the life you never got.

I strongly suspect they were/are a narcissist- so- I don't think anything I would have said different at the time would have made a difference. They're the last person in the world I would want to see now. I don't think words or reasoning work with this type of person. Honestly- unless I can absolutely help it, the next place I would expect to see them would be in hell! I'm sure they feel the same. They hated me just as much.

I'm sorry that the trauma you experienced in life led you into my arms, I'm sorry I wasn't enough to make you happy or give you the life you were looking for.

Thank you for giving me happiness for a brief time in my life and giving me purpose if not only for a year.

I can see that. Sometimes words just won't cut it, they sound like they must've been an exhausting person to be around- the one's who just don't listen to you... I hope whatever trauma they gave you can someday fade away.

TW abuse: For me (thanks for asking btw), I would go back in time to tell my dad I don't forgive him. He put me in a situation where I unfortunately was forced to tell him "I forgive you" and embrace this man immediately after the worst and first proper beating I got from him, at around 12 years old. I was so uncomfy and terrified, but he wouldn't leave me alone until I said it.
