Discussion What would you choose, SN or inert gas?

It's relatively easy to get SN and the drugs needed for protocol in my country.
99% of helium is even easier to get.
Which method do you think is better for CTB?
What is the reason for that?

PPH is giving higher marks to inert gases, but I think I'm more likely to utilize SN in this forum.

But SN protocols prepare a lot. Inert gases, on the other hand, only gas, hoses and secret bags are needed. No protocol is needed. But is SN a better option?

Inert gas is absolutely way better without any doubt it's literally the best and most peaceful method there is if done properly u just drift to sleep without feeling a thing

The inert gas method seems more peaceful but to do it properly, there's a lot of preparation. You have to acquire, assemble and test your equipment before you finally follow through with your exit. We're talking about weeks of preparation.

Then, there's the expense. I have been following multiple people who are using/have used this method and they've spent upward of $1,000US+.

Helium is cheaper than SN where I live, so inert gas would be a better option.

If i could get my hands on SN, i would probably chose that, even though its more uncomfortable then inert gas

My preferred method for some time has been nitrogen gas. Helium is regulated here (no pun intended) but I can easily buy 99.9% nitrogen and argon.

I also favour CO but I can't get sulphuric acid as it's heavily controlled here.

SN would be a much easier method if I could aquire it and the other drugs for the protocol.

I would favour CO over inert gas since 1% means an oxygen nasal tube is sufficient rather than the exit bag.

My first preference was for inert gas but it seems hard to get right. Any little bit of CO2 seems to cause suffocation but there are accessible devices that can be coopted to do exactly that.

It's just a high risk, high reward method.

I got SN very cheap online. Hoping to get meto too, but that's been more difficult. Inert gas is quite expensive where I live actually. And hard to compile all the materials, probably as much if not less so than gas. I also realized I'd rather not go out with a bag over my head. The mask seems ok maybe... but there's a much higher chance of ripping it off. Now there is also that chance of vomiting up the SN. But I think I could prevent that with meto and benzos. I do have a sleeping aid already, it's not a benzo but it does knock me tf out so I think I could take double dose of that and have it be as painless as gas. Tbh ideally is N. Just crazy expensive. I know how to get it, but most sources are like $900+ which is wayyyyy out of my price range. Oh well. In another life that's how I go ig.

I think a benzo + SN is a good combo. That's how I'd want to go.

Inert gas would be ideal if it wasn't so technical and expensive. I just don't have the energy to do it.
