There was some new article on bbc mentioning this site (not directly though) because parents of a person who visited this site for a month before he ctb'd are angry. So yeah some officials are onto it

It isn't meaningless. Their son isn't there anymore and they need something to rage at to distract themselves from their Failure as parents.

This is probably why the kid got to that point in the first place and why the parents failed to notice what was going on with him until it was too late.

The government is getting so bad about impeding on people's lives, that soon, we will need the government's permission to fart.

The person supposedly asked for the site to be shut down in their suicide note.

I'm not sure I can fault the parents of the deceased for crusading against the forum... it must be quite harrowing to read and experience. They feel defeated and powerless and so try to focus their efforts to achieve something they perceive as meaningful. I don't agree with it, but I can understand it. However, the actions of some parents and journalists have been quite appalling (doxxing, pestering, baiting).

It's infuriating. Going on this site actually makes me feel BETTER because it's the only place I feel supported and understood. I can vent here without people freaking out or saying some bullshit about how "it will get better". I need this site.
