Do they feel happy to give life another chance?

Probably more embarrassed and angry.

Some may end up being grateful though.

If you think that people are happy immediately after attempting suicide then you are retarded.

Shame, hopelessness, confusion, self-hatred, rage, distress, frantically covering your tracks, shock, wiping your face, desire to leave the area, fear is what its really like. It's better to attempt once and succeed than fail twice.

Highly subjective.
On the media you hear a lot of suicide survivors who claim they are glad to have survived. But that's what the media wants to feed to us. Some of these people probably didn't even want to die in the first place and were just trying to attract attention. Didn't even set things right to really kill themselves. They wanted to send a message and that's all.
When someone who really wants to die and failed doing so i highly doubt that they will be glad that they survived. I know i wouldn't. I have way to many strong reasons to kill myself and being confronted with them after failing a suicide would only make me want to do it again. So...

I tried when I was 14 years old. I really thought it would work. I woke up in the hospital and one of my brothers asking me why did I do it. I huffed out some air in anger and went back to sleep. I woke up again 3 days later. I was angry I was still alive. I ripped off the sticky sensors they put all over me and went to the bathroom and peed. Back to hell it was.

I watched a YouTube video of Golden Gate Bridge survivor. He was happy he survived. The chance of survival jumping GGB is very less but he was happy years after he survived.

At first I hated the failure but then I realised maybe I have to stick around for a reason. That way of thinking works for me.

I can only speak from my personal experience.

My first attempt was impulsive, I was half thinking it might be okay if this was the end right now, half thinking I wanted to be rescued. I downed prazepam pills and a couple sips of rum. Someone called the emergency for me cause I did that while walking along the Quais de Paris, and in the moment I felt glad there were so many souls dedicated to saving me and taking care of my wellbeing.

The second attempt had more thoughts and reflection put into it, but I ended up having a psychosis episode in the middle of it which landed me to a 72h jail hold right away, followed by court ordered 3 weeks in a psych ward. I felt confused, angry, disgusted by myself, dirty, frustrated that it didn't work but still felt the need to be comforted by my close family and friends even though I basically would have abandonned them all should my attempt have worked, so I felt really horrible. I'm still feeling the aftermath of that one, and I wish with all my being that I would have succeeded. Which is why I'm hanging around this forum.

3rd time's the charm, yeah?

I think that's because he got the support from friends and family which he was not getting before he committed suicide.
