Typically people recommend a simple noose or a slipknot- directions are on youtube for either- they are very similar. The hangnan's noose is meant for the long drop method used in executions, which is a method most people can't do on their own.

While people have successfully died like this it's not the best set up. Do you really need to be in a rush? If you have time think this through and maybe get better and more reliable supplies if you still decide to go through with it, though I hope a bit of time to gather your thoughts will maybe dissuade you :)
Going to hang myself soon off a very quiet bridge in the dark and will use hangman's knot because I intend to make a drop fall (feet will end in water due to recent rainfalls). In your case Slip knot is better if you want it to tighten the neck well.

Drop hanging is generally done by a hangman who makes precise calculations about how far to drop based on your weight and also a person is not jumping but falling as the floor goes out, so they can calculate the force precisely. Too much force could break the rope and not enough force will not break the neck and it will be like full suspension. Drop hanging attempts are dicey to do by oneself- with the water being a factor this will also affect the force.
A slip knot isn't going to realistically work. You have to tie a slipknot with the rope wrapping around itswlf more than once. Afterwards, you should take the end and do it again and again until you're out of rope.
