• Hey Guest,

An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.

Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.

I'm already disabled so I'd rather not screw myself even more. Most people don't end up with brain damage right? What about organs? I don't know what the hell to do anywhere screw this life

I can only guess. Most people on here, who survived SN, tell a story that they were not damaged as SN poisoning is highly reversable. I think it depends on the situation. If you are unconscious and your brain does not get any oxygen and you're still somehow saved, then you might end up with serious brain damage. It depends when are you saved.

In theory, since hypoxia is involved in the action of SN its possible that a number of bad things can happen but in reality its very very rare that permanent disabilities occur.
But it is possible that there are people who are so disabled from failed SN attempt that they can't use a computer to report it to others.
I guess the bottom line is "never say never". 🤗🌹💔

Potential damage depends on the method.

The potential damage caused by NaNO₂ is numerous and severe. Severe hypoxia can impair the function of various organs, causing heart damage (which may not be immediately detectable), renal ischemia, brain injury, and, in the most extreme cases, amputation. In some cases, poisoning can lead to a coma, with the possibility of never waking up. Unfortunately, there are no comprehensive statistics as there are for other suicide methods, and often those who suffer catastrophic outcomes do not even have the opportunity to share their experience.

I have never seen a case of remaining alive and with permanent damage from N or SN anywhere not on the internet etc. . if there had been you'd see youtube videos like "they tried to commit suicide with SN but now are permanently disabled"

depends on the method. i'm terrified of hanging or partial hanging because if the attempt fails you can become a vegetable. however SN poisoning (like others in this thread have said) is for the most part reversible should the attempt fail.
