Hi, I've heard here and there that there's risk being sent to psych ward without consent just by being honest about ctb with therapists/psy. Is that really a thing ? It seems a bit surreal to me.

In Australia, yes. If authoritiy think the danger of hurt towards someone or yourself due to mental illness, they can lock you in psycho ward.

Not sure how it is in France but in the UK it's almost a guarantee to get hospitalised if you tell any authority figure you're experiencing suicidal ideation.

Not in the netherlands, in my experience. Head of my "treatment" said: I got told you want to die (insert date). We are not a end-of-life service to help you feel better until then.

But I wasn't having a breakdown at that moment so came across as rational and calm. If you are in acute crisis it might be different.

It depends how often you have said it. My cpn knows about my plans to ctb and my want too. But I've been in and out psych wards loads the last year I think it now falls on deaf ears and I Won't be hospitalised (thankfully)
