Life is a torturous game but I don't understand the objective. Have I been brought here just to suffer until I die? Are my desires all meant to be immoral to achieve? What is the point?

If you try to be objective, there is no point in living, really. It's up to you to choose the perspective of life that best suits your needs and try to make the best of it. Existence is by default pointless but not cruel.

There could never be a point to existing here as all that life is, is just an unfortunate consequence of evolution where we are destined to suffer, deteriorate and inevitably cease existing where we won't even be aware of the fact that we are dead. Existence is something that is incredibly unnecessary and the thought that any of this could be meaningful is certainly a delusion. But it's undeniably true that the existence of life certainly is a tragedy. Life is just a cycle of endless torment that sadly continues to repeat when new life is brought here.

I think we all ask this question at some point. Especially if we are struggling. I think the people who put a positive spin on things eg. life is SO difficult and it's making me stronger/ it's all part of some bigger plan- maybe just tell themselves that because it's even more horrific to think this is all meaningless. That it doesn't actually matter how we respond to life's challenges.

Maybe it does- maybe it doesn't. I think we can definitely make things worse for ourself and those around us if we make the 'wrong' decision. Still- the world will likely still keep turning- oblivious.

With regards to immoral desires- are you refering to religion? Some religions seem to clamp down hard on what are basically our most natural, primal urges. I've always felt like it was some sadistic test. So- God- or whoever creates us with all these urges to do stuff and then promtly forbids us to do it... great- thanks.

The objective of life is entirely subjective. Some people are seemingly born knowing what they want in life. Others stumble into some sort of path that gives them meaning. Others put up with it, but many simply don't know what they are here for. I would say that most of us fall into the latter category.

In my opinion, opportunities are a finite resource. Some people never hard any at all, but many more simple let them pass by. Eventually, they cease to come, and we're left floundering.
