In this life, some people will be winners, and some people will be losers. So how about the losers? There are also many people in this world who eventually committed suicide. So does this mean that some people are just not meant for this world?

Losers like me are just living for the sake of living. So I suppose that there are people who are not made for this world unfortunately.

I don't think anyone is destined to be a loser. This world is just a very fucked up place where if you're not born into the exactly right circumstances it's extremely hard to succeed.

I see neither criminals (the ones that commit petty crime), drug addicts or the homeless as failures.

The fact we live in a world where people are so unsupported that they fall into these ways of life is disgraceful.

I know I would have really prospered if things were just different but this is the fate the world wants for people like me.

If you fit in depends a lot on what time you live in, but eventually people will be so old and disabled that they do not fit in anywere exept in a retirement home.

I think the majority of humans aren't mean to live the way we do now. We lived a very different lifestyle for most of our species' history.

I agree with that @Thisgirlwantstosleep said, that if you're not born into the exact circumstances it is extremely difficult to be "successful" in today's sense.

I was born into a wealthier family, so they could afford mental health treatment for me. But I always think about how I would never have been treated if my family were poor because this country is junk.

Despite that, trying to be successful despite my disability has caused me so much pain and suffering. All the authority figures in my life told me I had to work extra hard and play catch up to all the "normal" assholes because they have created an arbitrary standard of how humans are supposed to be. I always have worked harder than everyone else and gotten less in return and I'm sick of playing this game I never asked to be a part of.

I am completely convinced that I am not made for this world and that I never should have been born. Maybe if people were more accepting and open-minded things may have been different, but life has taught me that humans are evil (and as a human I'm no exception).

I don't think I was meant for this world. Some people are just cursed with bad luck and random factors which are out of our control determine everything such as our genetics. I was born with neurological conditions which have meant I have always struggled with living. I also have physical health problems which I couldn't have prevented. Some people are just disadvantaged through no fault of their own and the world is a very unfair place.

I agree, I'm starting to feel like canon fodder for everyone else's success. I get it that I've made my mistakes, but there just seems to be no way back. I seem to get so far then undermine myself and end up back at square zero. I really think that I'm not supposed to be here.

Ctb - temporary solution for a permanent problem

Sadly, it's survival of the fittest.
Human beings always forget that Homo sapiens sapiens appeared 200,000 years ago at least.
And like other primates, the first goals were :

-For males: being strong, muscular, having symmetric features, white teeth, being able to fight against competitors in order to reproduce the most they could compared to others competitors. Social status was important as well since the chief of the tribe had privileges and had more children than others.

-For females : having large hips so that birth went well, symmetric features, white teeth, ability to protect their children in being tough enough, eating enough. Social status mattered less than for males. The ability to take care of the stewardship was also taken into account for reproduction.

As modern human beings, we've forgotten that such as all other animals, we're hyper competitive, individualistic (especially for men) and extremely violent if necessary. And in my opinion, that's why we're so neurotic nowadays. Society or politics can't change our human nature.

Today the competition just changed its nature and is more sophisticated : instead of beating up other guys to reproduce more, it's all about social status, money and looks. Angelism is a fantasy.

Yet, we could argue that the Christian civilisation appeared 2000 years ago. And the latter reduced our biological instinct in introducing the concept of "you should not kill, rape, or steal." There have been several civilisations before Christianity, but it was the first one to introduce the concept which went against our primitive instinct. Since then, our civilisation has evolved and in the West, which used to be traditionally Christian, atheism is becoming more and more widespread. What's next then? Do we come back to our barbaric instinct? Do we try to find something else, knowing life doesn't have any meaning?

Do we, perhaps, instead of becoming barbaric again, try to legalise euthanasia for people who want it as civilised people - if we're still civilised people? So that their unbearable pain could come to end if it's their choice.

What a long post, I think I haven't done so long a post before,

Amumu

I don't feel fit to be on this earth anymore nor do I really want to. When I was younger I wanted to live till the age my great grandad did ( he was 101and still mentally with it until he turned 100) but no thanks not for me anymore. The world is just not a nice place for me to be anymore, regardless of what I do people always remind me that I am the problem.

I don't think I've ever belonged in this world. Too much cruelty and too much pain. I can't stand it here.

I totally get this post.

I realize in my mid 30s that I've been going about life in quite the wrong way. I always played by the rules, worked hard in school, tried to be a "good person", went to therapy consistently, took antidepressants to help me "keep it together", because I was already too sensitive to begin with. The anti depressants seem to have permanently damaged my body, I still have trouble dealing with social/work situations which basically makes it impossible to get ahead, so I'm just a slave to a job I hate.

I'm so tired. It is certainly possible to be too nice and to get totally fucked over for it. This world is truly meant for the strong and cruel, as cliche as that sounds.

Wish I had the courage to move on.

Any time that there can be a winner, or a 1st place, there have to be those who lose.
Socio-economic movement basically doesnt exist anymore, or at least not in my country. Well, downward movement exists. I went from promised a good career with uni to being a warehouse worker.
The only power that those at the bottom have in my opinion is the power to opt out of this bs system and leave the world

I have a genetic 'defect' with my immune system that resulted in me becoming afflicted with a rare autoimmune encephalitic condition called PANDAS at 18 months old. It went undiagnosed for 17 years. My death will be a form of natural selection. People with my rare/specific immunological condition cannot be salvaged unless they can afford IVIG, which is 20,000 dollars per treatment and isn't covered by most insurances for this particular issue even in modern times (and despite that, In my case by age 17 the developmental damage has already been done). There's no saving me. I should've been pronounced dead at a year and a half after my birth into this world.
