Watching movies, reading self help books, getting out of the house helps distract me. Of course my depression never goes away. I can't get out of my head most days so it's like living in hell really. What helps you get by?

Realizing it's going to be over soon for me.

Ive been experiencing pre-suicide high. It's nice knowing that I won't be suffering anymore. Ironically I'm actually enjoying my life quite a bit more now.

Helping others and talking about eachothers issues, its corny but feels good to do.

The combination of avoiding toxic people, spending time with my closest friend, meds, meditation, exercise, eating appropriately for me, and getting enough sleep. When I'm suicidal it either means the balance has been thrown way off or something traumatic has recently happened.

Well.. That depends on whether you're talking about healthy coping or not?
Healthy: Sketching, walking, my cats, writing
Unhealthy: over eating, over sleeping, self harm (been addicted for almost 8 years and this is not me recommending it because I don't at all) reading about missing persons cases; suicide methods/ potentially planning my own.

Yeah, that self harm can be really hard to get away from. Lots of animals tend to do this when under high levels of stress for long periods of time.

Playing my favorite types of games (mostly horror games like slenderman) gives me a little rush. Looking at nature, meditation. Although these only temporarily take the pain away. I'm not sure how much longer I can hang on though..

Youtube, movies, mostly videogames, occasionally take walks but only in remote areas to avoid social interaction.
Cold showers do help a little bit as well.

Sleeping the days away. So when a period of insomnia kicks in it's double as awful.

The other thing that helps me is knowing suicide is an easily available option. My therapist said I can't keep supplies in my home, that if she finds out I'm collecting supplies she'll hospitalize me. We've come to an unspoken compromise that if all I have is the stuff to make the hood but no nitrogen tank or associated hardware then we're good, which I've inferred by the absolute nothing that has happened when I've said I have the bag, elastic, etc. I felt better when I also had the pressure regulator but she made me get rid of that. I do feel comforted by the parts I still have.

Nothing helps, trying to keep my hands aways from SN, but I think I won't survive.

Physical exercise seems to give a temporary relief. Provided I somehow manage to get started. Which is not that often anymore.
