Hello sorry for second post in two days but I was wondering about this one a lot last couple of days. I live with my mother but I was thinking about moving on to my own flat before I CTB for couple of months so she won't be with me every and she will forget me a little and it won't hurt her as much and I was thinking about the rent agreement.

My question is if you go to a new flat you will probably sign the rent agreement for let's say 1 year but what happens if you CTB on the 3-4 month. You would have 8 months left...does my family need to pay for that flat or what excatly happens?
Thanks!

I'm pretty sure the only one they can go after is you because there are no other signatures.

Your debts die with you. Unless she co-signs, she can't be held responsible for your debts. That being said, I personally don't think moving out would make her forget you or make it any easier on her. I'm sure she'd rather spend as long with you as possible. Just my opinion

With death comes a clearing of debt. How sad it is that many commit suicide just to escape debt and pressing financial issues. It is so easy for financial institutions to write off debt once a death certificate is provided but they hound and harass excessively while you're alive. I think money has turned this world evil.

Not sure where you live but if its the UK the debt stops, but you will probably lose any deposit you put on the place.

They may try to claim it from the estate though, you probably need to check with a debt advice centre just to be sure.

That contract won't matter. No debt goes to family. ;)

Where I live if person have paid one month deposit (or 2 months) extra when moving and then died today their family would have that extra month time to empty the house and leave rest in there or throw in garbage. When people move out the last month is free to them. The deposit is in case if people leave the rent unpaid and move out or damage the place. Though if someone died and apartment got big damage to it the renter could tell relatives to empty the belongings sooner.

I have seen people here also say they will become homeless unless they ctb soon. Why nobody helps them!! Why suicide prevention and welfare organisations that lock people up to hospitals for even thinking about exiting early don't help them? Living in street and shelters is not life. Their problems are so much cheaper and easier to fix than some bad physical or mental disease which may never get cured even with all the efforts.

And they could give 2 month's rent money and more to homeless if they have money to pay forced hospital detention which are expensive.

Holy I was literally wondering the same thing a few minutes ago to calculate how much money I'd leave behind for my loved ones especially regarding my pets

But he doesn't have an estate but his mom. Right?

I've been told by a chamanistic medium that you are still charged afterlife, but I dont believe those things.
