Do you remember what your experience was before you were born? I imagine death would be like that, just the absence of any consciousness while your mortal body decomposes.

I've watched people die and they often report seeing 'the light' or angels or loved ones. I do believe your life may "flash before your eyes". Even so, I don't believe in heaven. I think it's much more likely that your dying brain tries to comfort you with visions of what makes you feel calmer as a stress response.

Like, hell. I don't know how many times the bright light was a lamp in the corner, or the "angel/loved one" was just me. Even if the person felt better later, I wouldn't correct them. Why would I? Let them have their magic. Having a near-death experience is hard enough.

I think what we believe of afterlife is really important to our CTB. Most of people believe if we CTB, we would go to hell. Because life and death are out of our control. And of course the existence of heaven and hell itself is part of controlling people use over other people. I believe there is no wrong or right answer to this. For me, death is opposite of life. Death is simply non existence. Eternal darkness without mortal body.
