Does anyone know what happens to student loan debt and credit card debt after death? Particularly in Canada.
Will my mom have to pay? Thank you!

It will be taken out of any bank accounts you may have and then the debt collectors will start targeting your family or they just dissolve it

Yes, I thought that maybe things could be different in other countries but it seems it usually is like that: your family has to pay somehow.
That's why I'm planning not to leave any debts behind.

If none of your loan/credit card is co-signed with anyone, they will take whatever assets you have such as real estate, car, cash/bank and if there isn't any, it'll be dissolved. Family's aren't required to pay for other relatives debt.
