Sounds like it's too painful for how risky it is. It could work but it will hurt. There are much better options.

According to the suicide FAQ (https://archive.fo/YErG8) it's mostly a myth. Very difficult, no quaranteed confirmed deaths, and you could just have a stroke instead.
