• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

What does authorities do after you die? Do they investigate everything about you? You're electronics and room? I don't know about the law or what has to happen when someone commits suicide.

I don't think so. But your family might go through your stuff. For a moment there though I thought you were asking what happens in the after life.

After you die, you can't experience time, so googolplexes of years go by in the blink of an eye.

Depends a lot on circumstances surrounding death and also where you are I guess.

I will make sure that the stuff I want them to read (maybe posts on various blogs, newspaper comments, maybe even this site) is accessible to them and the stuff I don't want them to read isn't; that means the latter is either shredded or burned or deleted.

As long as you leave a note and it is obvious that it was a suicide/no suspicious circumstances they wont investigate too thoroughly.Maybe just an interview with your parent/care giver/next of kin.Coroner may do an autopsy/toxicology on your body that's about it.

Oh I have decided by the way to leave a detailed list of what medications I took and a timetable; also, because my father will probably be damaged beyond repair, I will leave him the means and instructions to ctb (he's not that tech savvy anymore, so probably would attempt in a stupid way). I have come to grips with the fact that I can't live on to save him from losing me; it was his decision, he took the risk.

It can be entirely unpredictable.

Some users on here have described having their homes searched and items like computers, phones, etc. seized when their spouse or someone they shared the home with has CTB'ed.

Call logs, voicemails, email history between the person who CTB and others examined, although how they came to access such items is not made clear – did someone willingly offer them up or did law enforcement force them to be turned over through warrants, intimidation, etc.

Yeah I've always wondered if the cops can get access to my emails etc after death. How would they unlock my phone/tablet and get into my accounts?
