What happens after death? I don't really care. I just want to know if I'll be at peace.

It depends on what you believe. I personally believe Heaven is waiting for me when I die because, Jesus died for me on the cross.

I said it before. I will say it again. Keanu Reeves got it right. Plenty happens. It no longer involves you. The people who loved you miss you.

We all have different beliefs.
And cannot say for sure what is waiting for us.
Whether it is nothingness or a paradise, we don't know.
We can even believe in Flying Spaghetti Monster and in Beer Volcano in paradise,
But this thing remains beyond the veil...

There is a peacefulness with complete nothingness. I'm not afraid of nothingness. Think about it, when you die you won't even realize it. It'll be as if you had never existed in the first place. You no longer have no past and no present and no future. There wouldn't even be a tragedy because they'll be nobody there to experience it as a tragedy. From "your" perspective nothingness has always been and always will be.

Ramen, ramen I say unto you: he that believeth in it, hath everlasting life. It is the spaghetti of life. Your fathers did eat spaghetti in the desert, and are dead. This is the spaghetti which cometh down from heaven; that if any man eat of it, he may not die. It is the living spaghetti which came down from heaven. If any man eat of this spaghetti, he shall live for ever

If you're looking for the answer, I think the closest place you'd find it is on here somewhere. Try looking up other threads because this one is asked a lot. There was one post by, I believe, MysticPerception who had drunk SN and made it back to the world of the living. I believe they mentioned it to be absolute nothingness, but it was peaceful. I odn't quite understand how *nothingness* could be peaceful until you have a reference point when you are actually able to *feel* something, but I wouldn't know. Perhaps you may speak with them or some other users that have made it back. Most people will tell you different things, however.

Who knows? We all have our own thoughts and opinions on it, but nobody can tell you what's 100% right because nobody knows. For me, personally, I hope there is another life, reincarnation or something like that.

ever had surgery?
I mean, but the difference between surgery and dying is that after surgery you wake up. Then you're kinda able to feel something *about why* it was peaceful. Because if it's *nothing* like *truly truly nothing*, I'm not sure that feeling something would count? I'm not too sure myself.

I've had a LOT of surgeries. Waking up sucks. There's no peacefulness to surgery. My point is that I now know what total lack of perception is, and that it doesn't scare me. My only concern is returning to life maimed, and a trailing second place, upsetting the few people who matter to me.
