What does paralysis feel like

I've been warming up and coming to terms with death, and I want to know if paralysis comes quick or is it painful or what.

I sure hope if I find myself paralyzed my brain activity is inhibited to the point where I cannot conceive full thoughts, otherwise the dread would overwhelm me, realising I'm trapped in this horror indefinitely. I hope they put me on high dose of morphine and a strong high causing drug like fentanyl or strong cannabis edibles.
