I believe death is indeed scary but it's also a gift to humanity, that we don't have to bear this body and karma all the time. And one has to find out what is the truth about life or one could live knowing nothing is truth at all and just looking for happiness or pleasure all the time.In the East, especially in india death is to be conquered.it means you can not avoid death but you have to realize death is just the end of this body and mind and your sensation, conciousness which is not your real being.Your real being is with the eternal universe which is implied as god in india. And in china we say Tao

I stopped being scared of it after serving in the armed forces. For me now, death presents an opportunity to escape heartache, pain, misery, worthlessness, failure or whatever else you want to include in that group.

Taoism also interpretate death as a natural thing.but however in most religion suicide is not encouraged at all.In china, death is seen as a horrible event, death means end of everything lies fully into nothingness.

Aaahhhh... death... it is unfathomable due to it being inevitable. It is part of the enigma of the soul and life itself.

I do not think death is something to be scared about, it is just a part of life and it is our inevitable fate. No matter what happens, death will come for us. To me non existence is what I want, freedom from this life. I just believe it is nothingness, just like before we were born.

I'm scared existence is torture longer than this supposed lifespan, death seems too luxurious to ever happen to me, there's no evidence life is that kind to grant escape.

I mean we live in a world where fucking exiting it is so frowned upon on and it's encouraged to hold out for your last painful breath in old age when you've been laying in excrement for twenty years and told giving up is the cowards way out.
What kind of hell is that?

Then people say "well if you want to die you'd do it"
Because they cannot possibly comprehend such evil either because they are perpetrators or have been sheltered from it and are so cowardly refuse to believe such pain exists in others.

I have lost pets. They have come into the world then left. It will be the same with me. I am also an animal. There is nothing special about being human in regards to death. (Actually, there is. It's that other humans frown upon death so much they'll force you to live through years of torture for no reason just because """death is bad""".)

Death is not bad. It is good. Once, if ever, being alive becomes more desirable and more tolerable, than maybe that will change. But for now, death is a very just escape. A very just reward.

To me Death means never having to feel pain, have diseases, grow old and 5000 other horrible or uncomfortable things like freedom from responsibility, work, cancer, old age, threat of homelessness, ,problems, grief, depression, cleaning crap , fixing crap, to do lists, working, grocery shopping, having to feed these trillions of cells i'm inprisoned in, diseases, insomnia .....

I feel confident that death is nothingness. But a little part of me feels like CTB is such a "simple" solution … it's too "easy" so I'm skeptical some days.

Death to me means eternal slumber that I do not wish to be awoken from. I swear if I wake up, I will be extremely pissed. Don't want to be reincarnated or go to some bullshit afterlife place.

Personally I don't like the idea of it nor the idea of existing. It sucks. Also, I don't think I will be aware of succeeding so it's just hard to assume or hope anything goes right.

I don't know exactly how to word this but I think most of my life I've idolized death. There is a bit of me now that I'm so close thinking like, "Wow, my conscious experience is just going to cease soon", and that is a weird thing to grapple with. For me it's odd mixture of disconcerting & comforting. I think I've just spent too much of my life in my thoughts to fully grasp the difference, but on the same metric, it'll be sweet to have that peace. I just hope in my final moments the comfort wins out of the two wolves.

Death is a big deal but it also really isn't. Death is a big deal because it's just a slow fade to black, losing ourselves, losing everything we've ever known. Death is a big deal for other people because they lose a person who means something to them. On the other hand, death is normal, natural, inevitable. Everyone will die... immortality is mathematically impossible. And why should we fear the lack of experience? Really it's just a matter of perspective.

I am of the belief that we were all born to die, inevitably. Our physical bodies are kinda like some extended rental walking caskets eventually turning into clumps of dust blowing in the wind. Our spirits after death goes wherever...who really knows?! That lack of concrete knowledge of what is really beyond the world which we currently reside in, is in part, what drives our fear of our individual final exit. I fear it no more, just hoping to find a peaceful resolution/relief from this world as I have known thus far...

Death for every person is the end of everything, therefore all religions and most philosophical systems recommend taking care of your own life as the highest value. There will be and there will be no further incarnations - these are fairy tales.
It's easier to live in such fairy tales (hope).
Life can be compared to a field where God or Mother Nature nurtures human minds like plants. In such cultivation, not all minds have an equal opportunity to develop the best qualities of their kind.
Even God or Mother Nature can't help it, or they don't want to change it.
People only have the illusion of faith.
The human body and life are so secured by the survival instinct that achieving one's own death is a very difficult undertaking - AI most often needs a strong impact (invasive methods) - peaceful methods have a very high probability of failure (most often they are effective in the elderly, the weak and the sick) . There is no guarantee that by pursuing CTB instead of 'peace' you will achieve disability (being a plant).
For young people who experience discomfort in life due to a disability in the body or psyche, instead of thinking about CTB, I advise you to focus on what is more possible - improving the comfort and quality of life (the one you have - the next one will not be in any form).

Based on my beliefs, it is a simple transition from the physical to a discarnate condition and re-incarnation depending on how the soul has conducted itself during it's life in a physical body on earth. It is also a mercy to cut short a lifetime of suffering.
