I would tend to agree with this. Although it might be interesting if there is something else, but I'll be surprised.I've flatlined twice and was unresponsive for a good 20 seconds in total ... and I can say nothing happens.
When you die you are dead there is no afterlife.
what about reincarnation? When Socrates was sentenced to death he said he wasn't afraid of dying because the afterlife would be one of two things: peaceful and eternal slumber or a place with people like him which he would've enjoyed.
Hell makes no sense and, even if it did and it does exist, I know I won't go there because God —if the christian/catholic God exists— will know there's good in me, and pain, and they will understand and forgive me.
I'm scared about what will happen with my loved ones once I leave. I'm scared about my ex not giving a fuck. I'm scared about the act itself, but definitely not scared about what'll come next. It probably will be just like a lightbulb going off, like going to sleep and never waking up.
Amitriptyline is my plan B so do you mind if I ask you for some details?I once overdosed on amitriptyline and tried to kill myself with it. I ended up in a coma. It was just nothing, like a dreamless sleep. I think it's the same after death
how long did the coma lastI once overdosed on amitriptyline and tried to kill myself with it. I ended up in a coma. It was just nothing, like a dreamless sleep. I think it's the same after death
Some people only believe in science . If science cant explain it then it cant be true. I dont think our human brain can comprehend the unknown. NDEs are fascinating Ive had a few friends that have had themTo the people that think there is simply nothingness, how do you explain the similarities that a lot of people with NDE experienced? Why are there common elements that they witnessed? And how do we explain the fact that many people felt the presence of loved ones, even when alive? Like little children playing with spirits or some "spiritualists/mediums" that know things about you that you never told them, or can see your loved ones spirits, animals looking at things that are not present, etc.
These are only questions, I, myself, am not sure of anything. I am just confused and afraid. I have brain injury because of chemicals and I lost control of my body and mind. If chemicals altered my brain and the perception of self it just leaves me wondering if I am something more than just chemicals. Maybe 99% chemicals, 1% something more?
how do you explain ghosts, paranormal sightings etc? There is nothing beyond death, and fantasies of afterlife only exist because it's hard to dwell on the existential dread of death. The abyss of non-existence that waits after your biological machine stops functioning terrifies most, and spirituality and religion is simply a coping strategy our minds cooked up.
