I had psychosis and yes I think psychosis can be considered insanity. I would not consider mania or depression as insanity. I have both too.

Psychotic symptoms can drive you nuts. They can be so fucking tormenting.

A clinic therapist I met called people who kill themselves insane because they seem to be so irrational to him. He followed my story and well I think he knows that I am at a point where the pain is unimaginable and beyond anything.

I don't think thinking life is beautiful is insanity. It is a subjective experience. For some people life can indeed be beautiful.
However, pretending life could be great for anyone...yes that is insanity for me.

Or wanting to prohibit assisted suicide. Here I am undeciced. I would go with cruel and stupid and not exactly insane.

Voting Trump depends if you are a low wage undocumented immigrant (can they even vote?) yes that's quite stupid. I am not sure whether it is insane. Because insane people might not have the capacity to understand politics or to vote.

What do you think?

Dealing with psychiatrists over and over again is insanity.

I don't know. My neighbour admitted that he went off the rails once. I asked him what it felt like and he said- it was like absolute clarity.

It scares me though. Is dementia a form of insanity? I've worked around people with dementia and it's heart breaking really because they can have very lucid periods mixed in with all the confusion.

I suppose hallucinations are something I would assume accompany insanity. Witnessing things that aren't actually happening. That's the worst of it though. How would you know what was real?

As someone with a diagnosed ADHD, I really don't think having difficulty concentrating makes you insane. I do think you should be considered insane once your lack of ability to regulate feelings poses a danger to others. I see Insanity being a state where you should not be part of a society under this condition. but maybe I am just ignorant. Maybe I am just coping since I don't like to think of myself as insane even though I am planning to ctb and have already failed it and have been going to a psychiatrist and taking meds n shit for years so maybe I am insane, I truly don't know... but to normal people we all probably are.

I always considered insanity as feeling every emotion at once. Feeling too much life. Being stimulated by everything this world has to offer.
