i'm looking to leave a note behind, the part that i'm worried about is that i want to leave instructions for how to contact my friends. i think notes can get taken as part of the "investigation" or whatever which is a problem because i also want to explicitly allow my friends to come to my funeral (my parents aren't really aware of my friends so i don't think this would happen naturally), but if my note gets returned like a week later then it's already gonna be too late for that.

my idea was to just then leave the bulk of the instructions in a text file open on my laptop (along with other things) and then reference my laptop in my written note. but now i'm wondering if my laptop could get confiscated as well, especially since i'm explicitly referencing it in my suicide note. and even if i don't reference it, would people start investigating my room and see this text file open that has passwords, instructions, and reassurances that all suggest suicidal intent and just take it anyways??

i tried to look this stuff up myself, but i don't have any idea what to search in the first place...i just want to set things up the best way i can so i can try to make sure that everything i want to say is available and is available in the right time frame. i didn't think about stuff getting taken in as evidence until recently.
(sorry if i did anything wrong this is my first thread)
