Would I be who I am without the sadness in me?

Dreams are a fascinating subject. I write about them after I wake up, else I'll forget later, although some dreams do tend to stick in my memory without writing. After writing I can recall details that stood out to me in the dream quite clearly .
Sometimes dreams tell us something about our waking lives. They do for me anyway, I skimmed over my dream diary and found reoccurring themes. I get to know me better and... Nothing changes, I still suffer over it.
I'm shite at this I know.
Anyway, I'll start:

I dreamt of a shapeshifter turning everyone against me. I could not defend myself since the shapeshifter had more status. And it made me doubt everyone around me.
That was in school.
I went home and catched a motor, except the rider brought me somewhere unknown, I tried to escape but caught by the city officials.
They jailed me and the abductor. They released the abductor and the others but not me. I still had my phone and I sent my loc to my family and asked for help but they didn't believe me.
The abductors tried to take my phone away but I traded them bananas in my bag to let me keep my phone.
Later on, the cage I was in (it was high up) loosened and I got free. It was dark now. And I ran, without any sense of direction. I walked in dark alleys, seeing lit houses with open doors and families inside, adoring each other.
Later on, using my phone, I tried to use the location thing but I was in an unfamiliar place. I stumbled to a place where it was extremely hot, a steam train passed through, and there were naked burnt zombies? Husks?
They were not harming anyone but the heat they emitted was hot, it wasn't for me. They were going east, and I was going east. I went east until it became day and that part was heavily in snow. There were men in plate marching there and the dream ended.
