My views on this is when your officially dead as when the brain and heart stop working. Your soul will carry on in purgatory however you will be reborn as a new person or possibly animal. Could even be a ant or a peice of bacteria in a bucket of stagnant water. If I could relive my life and prevent myself from making the mistakes I did then I'd give it another shot. I work in IT but wanted to be a police officer but never tried hard enough in school or life. What worry's me is that what if we was reborn depending on how we lived our last life, if we did good then end up being a successful millionaire who owns a bank and lots of cars or we did something horrible and was born a child living in poverty. I wish no human being would have to go through this however if I was reborn as a citizen in North Korea. I'd have to stangle myself with my own umbilical cord as soon as I'm born. Life is……… strange

I believe that there is nothing after death, like before we were born. We cease to exist, the brain no longer functions, we no longer think, no longer dream and no longer have any consciousness.
However, I think that the passage from life to death is very pleasant: white light, feeling of plenitude, floating, feeling oneself going up to heaven, silhouettes of angels.

In fact, I don't see why there would be an afterlife. Why would humans be entitled to this?

Honestly I believe we have souls and in the whole "Energy cannot be destroyed, only transferred" I believe in heaven and hell.
Watching NDE's make me feel better. I have high hopes of heaven because I've been a mostly kind hearted pure person that's been abused and stepped on so I would like to hope their is finally peace for people like me and well, hell for my abusers.

I think you can get trapped here on Earth if your energy is extremely negative or if you are too attached to the life. If not, I think your would just fade away.. Maybe reincarnated again but you won't remember so it doesn't matter lol

When we die, we simply cease to exist and that is it for us, there is simply nothing, not even the awareness that we are dead. Life is just an unnecessary, meaningless experience in between the nothingness before we were born and the nothingness after we die.
All afterlife theories are fictional to me and I believe that they were created as humans cannot comprehend being nothing and the impermanent nature of existence is too difficult for them to come to terms with, and possibly afterlife theories are used as a way to scare people from suicide. But death should not be feared or worried about, our only fate as humans is to die and be forgotten about. Our lives don't matter and I take comfort in the thought of insignificance.

I met some Christians. They explained that human beings have 3 parts. The body, soul, and the spirit. When we die, the body goes back into dirt. The soul dies with the last breath. After u die consciousness goes away, all your memories of this life are gone. If u are Christian, you will be raised from the dead when Jesus returns. There will be a gathering together of all the Christians, first the dead in Christ will be raised, then after them the living Christians will go next. Anyone else not a Christian will be left here and it's going to get really nasty down here in this world. If u do get saved, u will get eternal life and it will be paradise. I forgot where our spirit goes, but it is held somewhere until Jesus's return.

What the hell does that even mean? That you'll get a second chance via resurrection? Sorry but no, you won't. Death is death. No more memories. No more feelings. No more awareness. Not even as karma or fate or whatever. You committed suicide? You come back to the exact same life. You were aborted? You come back. You had hydrocephalus? Bavk. Died in a fiery car wreck? Back.
