Around 2,000 people a day commit suicide

Why aren't we able to? We have so many resources and support

I'm just venting I suppose. I'm so sick of knowing what to do and not being able to do it.

Just seems like we're some weird subset

it just depends on the method and the person, some can sprial, be in an episode, pushed to it and what not and do it with no hesitation. some peoples method works in one go with no fail whether itd be od, gun, hanging or whatever. some methods are also costly or just much harder to do but have a higher success rate or be in a risky situation and hope itll go ur way (suicide by cop).

just depends on ur resources and if u could do it without backing down. but, theres no shame in failed attempts or backing away from it.

theres probably studies on it though but idk how accurate itd be anyways.

Like everyone knows and understands, ctb is one and done, never ever a do over.

Ctb, like most everything is not easy, no matter what. Si, families, and the list goes on.

I have had 2 attempts, both were VERY knee jerk reactions to a huge problem, as far as looking back and forward, it is quality vs quantity of life for me.

I also believe that recovery is possible, like @ScaredCutter so eloquently said, "no shame "in backing away.

Follow one's heart, NOT someone else.

I know that you're right. But for me, there is a shame. I was supposed to do it this weekend. That's it. That's a fact. I'm only delaying the inevitable. My life is stupid. Everything I've done is stupid. And now I can't even end it properly. I've not owned a gun and so I understand why I'm scared, but I have to get this over with.

For me I only suffer in this torturous, dreadful existence as I'm so cruelly denied the option to never exist ever again, it's just so horrific to me how I exist in this reality where dying painlessly is a crime with the suffering and torture seen as to force and prolong no matter what, there's just so much evil in this painful, dreadful existence.

The fact that painless death is made illegal is just such terrible extreme cruelty to me especially as this existence was so tragically imposed causing all this harm and suffering, anti-suicide is just so evil to me, it's so horrific how many just want others to be tortured in this existence for as much and as long as possible, I always suffer so unbearably from how I cannot just peacefully prevent all future suffering by ceasing to exist in this existence where there is no limit as to how much one can suffer.
