I've always hoped and thought that maybe there is some simple method/ combination of easily accessible items that is undiscovered, sitting under our noses. No risky / sketchy / complicated online ordering. Just a shopping list of peace.

Most "peaceful pills" (choral hydrate, barbiturates, ami cocktail) knock you out and disrupt the electrical activity in your heart.
There could be another substance that does this discovered one day but it would be restricted pretty quickly.

It isn't like people can experiment, if they succeed they will die and have nobody to spread the method.
The successful methods stop lungs from working (barbituates), stop the heart from working, or prevent blood oxygenation (sodium nitrate).

Who knows maybe there is some delicious berry on plant in the amazon rainforest that sends you peacefully to sleep- kinda like the opposite of all the new "superfoods" that are always discovered there and then marketed to health freaks around the world- sold at extortionate prices in wholefoods- but i guess if there were and it was discovered - you'd still prob have to buy online from some secret illegal website. It would be too good to be true if there were. Or it would be highly regulated / kept under wraps by any government/ law legislators that heard about it.

I'm surprised no one has thought of Actaea pachypoda, also known as doll's eyes or white baneberry. The berries and the entire plant are considered poisonous to humans. The berries contain cardiogenic toxins which can have an immediate sedative effect on human cardiac muscle tissue, and are the most poisonous part of the plant. Ingestion of the berries can lead to cardiac arrest and death. It's native to eastern North America, in eastern Canada, and the Midwestern and Eastern United States. I'm also sure you can still buy the seeds/plant online (I looked forever ago). Also, the berries ripen over the summer, turning into a fruit that persists on the plant until frost.

even if there is such a thing. eventually the goverment will take that away from us. There were loads of peacefull ways to die. but they are slowly taking it away by either making it illegal or hard to obtain.

I don't know about "peaceful" necessarily but there are quite a few natural options out there that (I'd think) would be nearly guaranteed if over-consumed while isolated.

None will be peaceful. Rosary pea sounded nice until I saw, "Symptoms of poisoning include nausea, vomiting, convulsions, liver failure, and death, usually after several days." And good luck on finding castor beans, especially due to ricin.

The death process takes several days for ricin, depending upon the dosage, but at least one advantage out of it is that it's almost impossible to detect in an autopsy.

Sounds good! How did you hear about this? I wonder if anyone has ever 'used' it? As a method I mean
I don't even know how I stumbled across it. It was probably five-eight years ago. I thought about it as a method at the time, but never bought it because during that timeframe I was 16-19 years old. I was also already using different methods at the time, too (ODing, exsanguination). As far as someone using it as a method, beats me. Would have to put in the research or perhaps start a new thread on here asking about it/other poisonous plants used for as a method. I did find two threads on here about it though:

There are already a few 'fringe' methods that have been spoken about on the board which I think show some real promise in a peaceful exit.
