Discussion What are failed SN attempts like?

I've attempted multiple times, different methods. I'm encouraged by what I read about SN, but given how often things don't go as planned, I'm wondering what failed attempts are like? Do I need to block off a couple of days or can I go back to my shitty life the next day if it doesn't work?
