What age would you have chosen to CTB and why? While I am not determining when I CTB based on age alone, it is factored in along with the current (and future) circumstances that I face. For me, it would be sometime in my mid 40's as that is usually the time where the body starts to decline (if not sooner already, depending on the person's health and lifestyle) and only gets worse from that point. Also, at that age, it is likely that I already have experienced just about what I came to experience in life (unless one has family and plans to have grandchildren), barring a few things.

Explanations behind the age brackets:
0-17 is that the person is a minor,
18-25 is generally the college age, young adult, with 18 being the legal age (no longer a minor).
26-29 the time before one's 30's.
60-64 is the time right before retirement age.
65-69 usually the time around retirement age.
80+ is for retirement or post retirement age and also the average life expectancy in most first world countries.

knowing what I know now about my life, 10 y old. to avoid extreme suffering. IF barbiturates were available at that time, I believe I would succesfully be gone by the age of 16.

None. Not everybody is in our mindset and that alone should display the absurdity of this question
It's an individual choice

Difficult to choose. I would say not before age 25, as your brain and hormones are still insane up until then. A lot can change and I would see if things were better... but after that.. I feel like it's more about feeling when the time is right and feeling at peace with the decision (being 100% sure) vs a chronological age.

I would say my current age (19) is a good age to ctb. I am an adult so my parents cannot commit me to a hospital. I have no friends to hurt and I relized life only gets shittier.

I also think mid 20's is a good age but seeing how shitty my life has been, I wish I would have done it in my teens.

This question is nonsensical to me because I don't think that everyone should kill themselves (most of the time). For a lot of people, theres always the (theoretical) perspective of getting better (without quotation marks). I don't want to say that my life is exceptional (it isn't) but I'm not going to get better. 30 years of decline (not talking about feelings here alone) is enough. And the superficial mechanisms of my decline have been (mostly) in plain sight, unlike the reasons

I have more braces in case so needs them

40-49 I guess. It´s when mind and body REALLY start to deteriorate, and your achievements (if any) are behind you.

I´m 40, BTW. Can´t see great improvement in my life from now on, only decadence.

Yeah, I don't see how life really becomes amazing at a late age. The only things that I can really see people living to old age are usually if they want to see their children grow up and possibly grand children (if their children have offspring as well), living to 100+ years old (there are some people who have that goal -- no judgment though, to each their own.), and sometimes just general curiosity of how the world will be in the coming decades. Personally, I think that unless there is some major incentive or interest (who knows, but as of present day and even in the coming years) for me stay past my 40's, then I'd likely check out sooner than later as later means I'd have to deal with decline in quality of life.

I think in the future most people will wait until they are old and their body and mind is failing.

I didn't personally vote for it but I guess an explanation could be living a full life but still being able to take control of your death?

I've had all the "Full" I can take.
I guess it's an explanation … Unless it's people who are on here who think they can "Save" us.
We can't really take control of our death unless we do it illegally (With the help of N) …. at least in most countries.
Unless we choose another way to CTB.

Yes, there is nothing wrong with that age group. Let them decide for themselves. People can have all sorts of reasons wanting to ctb, young or old.

Other than wishing I had never been born, I would say at the age of nine when I started feeling suicidal. I haven't experienced any happiness since. For anyone in general... they will know when they are ready. Life doesn't get better for everyone (for some it just gets worse like a downward spiral) and my biggest regret is having waited so long instead of doing it when it felt right to me. It was just more unnecessary suffering that could have ended a long time ago.

15 or 16 would have been right for me. So much horrible suffering could have been avoided. I feel like I have been exploited by people who have a much better life. Exploited in the sense that I was made to exist (suffer) for them. What is more selfish than requiring a suffering person to exist for you when you're better off?

Quite frankly, if I was able to go back to the point in time before I was born, I would make sure I was never conceived to begin with so I would never have existed from the start. That would of course, be the best solution, but sadly one cannot go back in time.

I would say at whatever age your body begins to breakdown, to the point where it begins to outweigh your zest for life. That age for me was 20-21, but I suffered another 4 years of misery trying to fix it as it continued to get worse and worse, until I finally realized to just let go.

I wish I had ctb at 22. Nothing good has heppened since its all been a down hill of trauma, abuse, deteriorating health and horrible mental issues. But like some others have stated to never have existed at all would have been best.
