I have been going to the doctor at least once a week because I am feeling awful and at the moment I'm trying to save my life, but I'm exausted. My new doctor (not chosen by me, in public healthcare you are given one available) said today I am taking too much benzos.. lower amounts are not working and I would like to mantain the priviledge to sleep at night and not feeling anxious during the day. What am I supposed to do?

That sounds exhausting, I'm sorry you have so much problem sleeping.
Unfortunately benzos usually make you feel worse after their effect wears off, so it's best to keep them only for the most extreme circumstances once in a while but I understand it's hard when nothing else works. What other meds have you tried for anxiety? There might be still some options. Anyway, in fact that doctor is at least partially right, relying on benzos daily will make you feel worse unfortunately.
